Ideal Electrical Solutions (UK) Limited

Conor from Ideal Electrical Solutions was superb, a real credit to the company.  He explained clearly what he needed to do and got on with the job professionally, checked everything thoroughly, ran through the work he had done when finished and cleaned up afterwards using dustpan!  Their rates are competitive as well. Ideal Electrical will be my 'go to' for all electric work from now on and I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Excellent service by a great, friendly, professional team. Did exactly what was asked and went over and above to do a tricky job very well. I would definitely use them again. My only constructive feedback is that the Ethernet connection points seem to be made of potentially flimsy plastic (as is the way these days). A big thank you.

We have been very impressed by the prompt response to our enquiry and the speed in which the estimate for work requested arrived.
Lisa, Chris and Dawid are all very personable in the manner in which they listened to our requirements and each one has been a delight to deal with.

Dawid carried out the electrical work required in our home by installing two WiFi Tapo Door Bells one at the front door and the other at the rear of the house. He took time to explain how they operate and set them up to our satisfaction. In addition Dawid carefully checked existing wiring and then installed and positioned two garden spot lights where requested.

Dawid is clearly a highly skilled electrician, very hardworking and had creative ideas regarding types of lights and appropriate lighting for our situation. He is indeed an asset to Ideal Electrical Solutions and a highly personable young man. Indeed we have been so delighted with the work carried out by Ideal Solutions we are already seeking a new estimate for more work to be carried out in our home/garden.
Highly recommended!

First Class Service from Start to Finish!

Can highly recommend, based on my experience, Ideal Electrical for any electrical work. From the very first contact, Chris and Lisa made the process seamless, providing a competitive quote and handling all the scheduling perfectly. Communication was 2nd to none each & every step of the way.

The electricians, Brandon and Kyle, turned up on time. They did an excellent job installing a new integrated cooker hood and rerouting our central heating control. They completed the work efficiently, respected my space & left everything in perfect working order. They also made sure my kitchen area was completely clean and tidy before they left.  A very professional team that delivers high-quality work at a very competitive price. Thank you!

I cannot thank Lisa, Chris, Dawid, and the whole team enough. Due to a miscommunication NOT of their doing the work was delayed but they were kind and friendly to me each time I called. Once the work started they were quick, kept me updated, and Dawid did a great job getting power back in my flat. He even set the cooker clock to the right time! I cannot thank them enough.

Had a list of things around the house that needed done including new light fittings, ceiling pendants replaced and old halogen lights changed for LED.
Electrician arrived on time & completed the job and cleaned up after himself.
Very satisfied.

I had a socket added so I could install a dishwasher. The person they sent out, Brandon, was professional, informative, and did the job quickly and well.

Replacement stair lighting including new Astro clock timer installed. We had a glitch with the timer but Chris quickly organised the fix. Happy to recommend

I manage rental properties within Edinburgh and use Idea Electrical Solutions for all electrical works including all safety certificates (even including fire extinguisher maintenance, Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella testing etc - they cover everything!) They are thorough, highly skilled, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The staff at Ideal Electrical Solutions really go out of their way to help! Having had mixed experiences with other electrical companies in and around Edinburgh, I can honestly say I wouldnt go anywhere else. I thoroughly recommend Ideal Electrical Solutions!

I had a light fitting changed, a light switch moved and a socket installed.
I am delighted with Dawid’s advice, help and professionalism.

Had an EV charger installed at an apartment, so a bit more complex than normal, scheduling surveys and the install was seamless and they were prompt and patient with a lot of questions from an EV novice. Brandon and Kyle who completed the install were great and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

New Shower room light installed, and new pull switch. Perfect job.

Josh and Brandon were exceptionally courteous. I have mobility issues but they were very patient - and let themselves out to help me.

Ideal Electrical did a great job. Their guys, Dawid and Kyle, pulled out all the stops to complete the job after finding an unexpected issue in the latter stages. I think many other companies would've left it uncompleted and rescheduled but they found a solution and put in an extra couple of hours on a Friday afternoon to get it done, which was important as I'm on a tight schedule with the works. It was much appreciated and I'm happy to recommend them.

Ideal Electrical have just installed new dimplex storage heaters for me. Everyone was super helpful. The guys that carried out the work were personable, prompt and tidy workers. Mark the MD was very patient and responded quickly and helpfully to my emails. Unfortunately one of the storage heaters and the dimplex hub were faulty. Mark and Chris helped me liaise with dimplex re the heater and were quick to replace the hub. Without a doubt they would be my go to for any future work.

We contacted Ideal Electrical Solutions (UK) Ltd in late July to quote for installing batteries to complement our solar panels (installed 2011) and to help our heating costs having replaced an old gas boiler with electric radiators/hot water unit. We needed the ability to store electricity at a cheap overnight tariff to power our daytime heating in the colder months - and we needed to avoid disqualifying ourselves from feed in tariff (FiT) payments which still have over 10 years to run.

Mark responded quickly to my query, visited the property and recommended suitable batteries. He answered all queries promptly and intelligently, the quote was competitive, and he and his team scheduled the installation to fit in with our own availability, agreeing with us the location of cabling and batteries and gaining the necessary permissions from the energy network provider. Work was carried out on time, neatly and professionally and with a minimum of fuss.

Now the colder weather is here we are delighted to have the benefit of the batteries - they charge overnight at cheap rate and power our heating during the day when it would otherwise be much more expensive. Very happy to have chosen IES as our installers and can sincerely recommend them on all counts.

Installed a new outside security light

Have used Ideal Electrics several times. Great advice from Chris who was anxious to save us money on an emergency callout byasking for photos so he could give advice over the phone to save the callout fee.

Nevertheless Jason came out and fixed the problem and gave advice.cam

Work done as specified. Staff very helpful. Arrived at the agreed time. No complaints at all. Very happy.

Excellent service from start to finish providing and installing my new heater and associated electrical work. Very good communication, installed exactly as required by Craig who did a great job. Follow up queries from me regarding normal operation of the heater resolved by a visit from Chris and a follow up phone call from Chris who explained everything I didn’t really fully understand. Very pleased I chose your firm and would recommend your firm to anyone requiring similar work done.

All the electricity installation work for the cabin was done professionally by Denim and Kyle!
Now waiting for the Minor Works Certificate, would recommend to everyone and I will definitely use IES again!

It was easy to work with IES, unlike other tradepeople or companies I have used. Bascially, you first book an appointment with Chris is was very helpful and decides what works have to be done, pay the deposit and they get the work done!!
