After a lengthy search, without success during this pandemic, to find a domestic appliance specialist to repair our washer-dryer, we discovered Billy Rutherford, BRDomestic Appliance Repair Specialist, in Trusted Traders List we telephoned on 13 April and he came promptly the following day. He was well-prepared and well-equipped in view of the current restrictions and carried out the necessary repairs quickly and efficiently. We would not hesitate to call upon him again in the future and would highly recommend the service he provides.

My Dyson had broken down and was making a weird flapping popping noise.. 2 days later on my way back from a shop on day19 of lockdown I saw Billy’s van in a nearby street... I asked him advice .... he picked up my Dyson 30 mins later from outside my flat and brought it back serviced, parts replaced and repaired by 11am the next morning - prob 24 hours tops From start to finish...

We contacted Billy from Oxford to help repair a cooker in our house in Edinburgh which is rented out. He replied promptly to our message on a Saturday evening then did the work on the bank holiday Monday. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and speedy. Happy to recommend.

Investigation of leak in washing machine and repair. Mr Rutherford came promptly and made clear his pricing and the options of repair or replacement. He had the spare part in van so machine was repaired on the spot.

Needed a Dyson hoover repaired. Spoke to Billy in the morning, he picked the hoover up in the afternoon. Dropped it off 2 days later in mint condition. He observed social distancing and wore a mask.
Very reasonably priced too.

Problem fitting a new oven element in my elderly mothers cooker (issues with spare
part fitting and access through back of cooker). Called Billy the afternoon before, and
with in 24hrs he arrived and fixed the element within 40mins. Especially impressed
with the way he conducted himself - so much so that he even tried to re-fit a door on one of my mothers kitchen unit despite him not being there to do it !!.
We always say we will use someone's services again when we fill out the after work
questionnaires - this is one of the instances where I will use them again. Will definitely be keeping Billy's business card in my wallet.

Oven stopped working, and with the COVID-19 situation ongoing, we were worried it may be a while before it could be repaired. BR Domestic Appliance Specialist responded to our query on the same day and was with us the next day. The oven was replaced and is now working perfectly.

I realised yesterday a bit on my hoover was broken - phoned Billy at lunchtime, he came and collected it yesterday afternoon and has been back to drop off the repaired hoover this morning. Amazing service, all the more appreciated at this time when we’ve to stay at home.

My washing machine broke and with 2 small children, I was concerned about it getting fixed during the lock down.
On contacting Bill, he arrived in a couple of hours and was efficient, helpful and great value. He took particular care by wearing gloves and a mask and was very clear how he could and would assist while maintaining the rules of social distancing etc. I was extremely grateful and impressed with his approach. I thoroughly thoroughly recommend to anyone. Never have I been so pleased to hear my washing machine whirring again/attack the laundry! Thank you.

Billy responded to my washing machine SOS within a couple of hours. After discussion, it was obvious that a repair would not be cost effective. During this time Billy demonstrated a sound knowledge and understanding of his Craft, patience and, above all, no pressure was put on me.

Billy removed the old integrated washing machine and installed the new freestanding one. A first class job and worthy of 5+ stars!! I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Disconnected old hob and oven and connected new hob and oven to the existing spurs, Communication was excellent and a very reliable service provided. The job was completed quickly and efficiently to the required standards. Would definitely recommend this trader to a friend.

Billy replaced a broken grill element on our AEG oven - essentially did what he said right from the initial contact. Stayed in touch, turned up when he said and fixed the issue quickly and then charged less !!!! First time to write a review but he deserves the full 5. Very good service.

Communication with Billy was easy and he was available to look at my oven the very next day, which was great. Arrived during the time we agreed and was friendly and professional. Bottom oven has been out of use for a long while now. Billy replaced the faulty element and I’m pleased to say it’s working great! Thank you!
