Helped with repairs to my door. Although the could not completely fix the issue due to bad initial installation they made big steps to do everything they could to help, were reasonably priced and gave me good advice.

Following storm Arwen in November 2021, we suffered damage to the pantiles on our roof. In several places, tiles had been displaced and broken and there were gaps allowing ingress of rain.
At very short notice considering the widespread damage in the area, David and Alan Kay arranged to come and check the roof and repair where possible.
This they did and spent several hours up ladders removing broken tiles and replacing those with salvaged tiles.
We have now used the company over many years for various tasks and have found them to be excellent workers and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We had WH Kay back to replace our chimney pot with a vent cowl. As with the last time they attended (to repair and seal our apex tiles) they did an excellent job on time, to budget and to a very high quality. I can't recommend them enough.

Replacing two blown double glazing units in timber framed windows plus some pointing work on exterior brickwork.

David's work was excellent from start to finish, he came promptly to give a quote just before the restrictions were re-imposed, and came to do the work just days after restrictions were lifted. The old units were replaced very quickly (and disposed of), and the frames cleaned and touched up where paint had been dislodged by the works. Everything was left sparkling clean and tidy and in excellent condition. It was great that David was also able to point up a small area of brickwork at the same time.
Delighted with the result and would not hesitate to use David again in future.

Cleared gulley on roof which was blocked & caused leak

The work involved replacing about a dozen ridge tiles on both my roof and garage. The work was first class in every respect and Davy and his brother are obviously very good tradesmen.

Have used WH Kay on 2 occasions for roof repairs. On both occasions they have been on time, courteous, knowledgeable, competent and efficient. I feel totally secure in their ability to work high up on our large roof and would highly recommend them.

We had damage to our roof caused by Storm Arwen. After being let down by our insurance company I tried to find roofers to fix the damage. We left messages with various firms who never returned our calls and a company who said they would look at the damage but never turned up. I found W H Kay on the Trusted Trader website. David spoke to us about the damage, gave us a quote for the work and fixed the damage within a week. The work included removing and replacing a damaged ridge cap and reinforcing clips. He returned our phone calls and emails and turned up when he said he would. We are very pleased with the work and would definitely recommend him.

Remove old front door porch, supply and fit new porch.

The work was carried out in a professional manner. The quality of the work is excellent. The builder was courteous and kept us informed throughout the project. I would use this company again.

Repair to leaking roof valley and tiling.
We have used this trader many times and have always found them very satisfactory.

Repair to facia of roof due to storm damage. I’ve used them before as well and they are obliging, polite and very efficient . Work was done to a high standard and the finish was superb.

To remove all bathroom ware and set aside for refitting; to supply and fit new toilet pan; to repair leaking pipe under floor causing the damage; to lift all damp and wet flooring and floor joists in toilet area; to supply and fit new treated floor joists and new 22 mm treated chipboard flooring all glued and screwed; to reinstate all bathroom ware and shower screen; to strip off damp plaster at door and wall in bathroom and hall and re-plaster with damp proofing cement and plaster over.

Extras - to remove all joists and supply and fit new timber joists to all cast guttering at front of house; cut bolts off clean out joints; re-seal and re-bolt.

Also, remove old Perspex from sun house and supply and fit new laminated glass and various beads. Also, to remove plaster inside bathroom and plaster with damp proofing cement and plaster over.

I’ve used this company 4 or 5 times now for a whole range of work ( replacing glass in double glazed units, replacing concrete sills under windows and cleaning and repairing leaking rhones ) I’ve always found the guys did a good job, turned up when they said they would and delivered a good job and to their estimate. They cleaned up after completing the work and were at all times courteous and helpful

Replace roof window and renew lead surround, survey existing roof.

This was the first time I had used W H Kay and was thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the work undertaken. I had several quotes one of which claimed I needed to renew my whole roof surface.

Alan examined the roof and roof window and gave me an honest assessment. They turned up promptly, carried out the work with a minimum of disruption and kept me informed throughout the process. I found Alan extremely courteous and pleasant to deal with and will not hesitate to phone him for any future work.

David came out at short notice to fix a window which was jammed open. As always he was friendly, reliable and fixed the problem.
