David and Alan (W H Kay) are experts in their field, honest, hard working, reliable and completely trustworthy. I’d never employ a different company. Have recommended them frequently to friends and family.

I’ve used this company 4 or 5 times now for a whole range of work ( replacing glass in double glazed units, replacing concrete sills under windows and cleaning and repairing leaking rhones ) I’ve always found the guys did a good job, turned up when they said they would and delivered a good job and to their estimate. They cleaned up after completing the work and were at all times courteous and helpful

Replacement of valleys on roof and any tiles required.
Excellent service. Communication was efficient and work was high quality. David adjusted the cost because he found the tiles didn't need to be painted. Both men very pleasant.

The Kays are a pleasure to deal with, obliging, professional and working to high standard of finishes.
They always keep to estimated costs and any extra work is reasonably charged.
The only quibble is that I have to wait so long before they can undertake any work as they are so busy!

They installed 3 new doors and changed the side the doors open. Very good repairs on the door frames, clean and efficient.

Annual roof check and replacement of slipped and fallen slates. The guys are great at prioritising what really needs done and what can safely wait. Communication about timescales is always very good as is the quality of work carried out.

We have had our front door area replaced. We were very happy. Time keeping was excellent and Alan communicated to us what was happening as he worked. They were clean, tidy and precise.

Alan and his brothers work has been exceptional. They are very professional, trustworthy and great value for the quality of their work. Alan helped me get the project off the ground in every way - from discussing the pros and cons to my ideas, ensuring that I had East Lothian Council permission, coming up with cost effective plans when small hiccups occurred, as well as answering my numerous emails/ texts along the way quickly and calmly. I had non-structural work done - the knocking down of two walls, installation of bi-fold doors, new ceiling in dining room and hall, installation of vestibule.

Replacement of timber patio door and backdoor with PVC. The company were very reliable, arrived when they said and we were kept informed of times and progress of the work.
