Steading refurbishment. replace rotten window with new. Cut out rotten wood on 4 doors, replace and treat with preservative. What was falling to pieces is now good for several years. They quickly assessed what was required, kept us informed of the lead time before start and competed the work in the estimated time & price.

W.H.Kay have previously carried out a variety of jobs on our house and we have always been very happy with the work, service and availability. On this occasion we had issues with our slate roof. Alan came promptly to inspect the areas that needed work carried out and gave us a quote. Although extremely busy he managed to find a window of opportunity to fit us in where other firms would have pushed this out given that it was not a large job.
He attended and completed the work when he stated he would and also carried out other repairs that arose. He invoiced us as per our original quote which we were more than happy with.
I would thoroughly recommend W.H.Kay to anyone considering building or roofing work as sound, dependable and honest.

David and his brother done a great job took out old cupboard put in a new door from utility room to dining room and put in a new cupboard excellent work really pleased

Mr Kay replaced our large upstairs Velux window and was prompt, tidy, courteous and efficient. In addition he carried out necessary repairs to our roof in a manner with which we are well satisfied.

David Kay came promptly to check the roof. He reported to me by phone and followed this up with a written report with photos. He charged me a reasonable fee for the report, and I am likely to ask him to carry out repairs in the future.

Investigation and repair of a roof leak which was causing water ingress in my house. David and his brother were prompt, kept me informed throughout their investigations and explained what they had found. And then they repaired it, with no issues since.

The original estimate was acceptably accurate, so although the final cost was a little higher this was reasonable given the extra time required to source the problem. And this was explained so there were no surprises.

I’ll definitely use them again and would recommend them highly.

We have had our front door area replaced. We were very happy. Time keeping was excellent and Alan communicated to us what was happening as he worked. They were clean, tidy and precise.

We have had several jobs performed by W H Kay, mainly roof repairs. Work has been good, on time and reasonably priced. In particular they have an excellent customer-friendly approach which provides the much needed assurance that is so important throughout the job from initial contact to invoicing. This particular job was the fitting of an electronic garage door. The work was performed by a third party, facilitated by W H Kay, who shared their attributes and did an excellent job..

General repairs on roof and particularly to counteract water penetration in bedroom. Problem seemed to be solved but we still had some water penetration and Kay’s we’re back within hours to assess the situation and a few days later made time to get to the root of the problem and fix it.

We've been having our windows replaced over time, as and when we can afford to do it. This time we had our patio door replaced. The work was finished to a high standard within the day. All the facings are very neatly finished, mitres are perfect. The external finish is neat and tidy too. The UPVC door seems to be a high standard and we're very happy with it; a big improvement over the door that was replaced - we noticed the difference in the warmth in the house the first evening. After the work was completed all the rubbish was taken away and the work area cleaned and vacuumed. David is great to deal with - we'll continue to work with W H Kay for our window and roof repairs as well as any other building jobs around our home.
