We are trusted and reliable electricians who serve customers throughout the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We have extensive experience of residential and business electrical installations both large and small.
As an NICEIC approved contractor, we at Energize Electrical will always aim to put the high standards of the NICEIC into everything we do and always adhere to the highest levels of safety and perform the best quality of work possible for all our customers.

Electric Vehicle Charger
Excellent communication and exceptional customer service from start to finish.
We were aware we required more than a standard installation but the entire team went out of their way to ensure they found a solution and completed the work to the highest of standards.
Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to use for other electrical work in the future.

Energize installed an electric vehicle charging point at our home. Overall we were extremely pleased with the service. Neil was extremely responsive - always checking we understood what was happening and when, explaining the options and approach. The work was done in a timely and professional way - the workmen being polite and efficient. Would definitely recommend them.

Installing illuminated bathroom cabinets and an outside light. Other previous work includes an electrical safety check and installing a car charging point. We continue to use Energize as the team is customer focussed, polite and respectful as well as neat and tidy. We don’t even bother to seek other quotes as Energize is now our “go to” provider.

Second time I have used Energize and they were as excellent as the first. I needed 3 extra sockets fitted in different rooms. They came round to assess the options and to ensure I was happy with what they recommended. They were hugely responsive and completed the work to a. very high quality very soon after I made the initial enquiry. Highly recommend.

Energize Electrical (Scot) installed a EV 7KW Home Charge point.
Through out the entire process communications with the team were clear and concise. Neil took the time to explain the technical requirements for installing a home EV charging point- it is not as straightforward as you would think!
The initial survey was carried out quickly and the found the surveyor to be very knowledgeable and helpful.
The installation team turned up on a wet November morning at the agreed time and the works carried out as per the agreed quotation, with no "scope creep". The site team were very professional, highly competent and the works were carried out to a high standard. Housekeeping was noted to be exemplary throughout the whole process.
Highly recommended and use again.

Energize Electrical have installed some new lighting in the church and carried out annual PAT testing. They arrived at the specified time, carried out all the work very efficiently and have cleared up behind them leaving no mess at all. Their communication before and after the job has been excellent, and I would recommend this firm highly.

Had smoke and heat detectors fitted. Flat now complies with regulations. I was given a price and a date. Electrician turned up on time, very proficient and completed the job with no mess. Invoice as fixed price. Throughout the process excellent communication. I have used the company before and will certainly do so again.

Needed two security lights replaced and new bathroom fan fitted. Hadn’t used EE before but was very impressed. Excellent communication & customer service from Neil, helpful advice from Callum when giving us a quote and work then completed professionally and to high standard by Ross. Whole experience was smooth, responsive and friendly. Will certainly use again.

Campbell from Energize has completed two jobs at my property in the last year to an exceptional standard. He wired and fitted electrical appliances (shaver, mirror, extractor) in my new bathroom and removed an old faulty wired fire alarm system (3 fire, 1 heat). Both jobs required a lot more work than I had planned but Campbell was able to provide solutions to solve any problems that came up and kept me in the loop with progress as well as cleaning up any mess from the job which I really appreciated. All in all, a very talented electrician who I can trust to use for all electrical work.

I had some lighting and wiring issues attended to in the flat. Campbell at Energize was punctual, friendly and seemed very competent at fault finding with good technical ability. This enabled us to resolve the problem succinctly.
Overall the level of service provided was good and the price seemed fairly normal. Neil whom I spoke to was helpful and I would be sure to recommend this company to other people.

Fitted an EV charger & external light, and upgraded fusebox / consumer unit. Arrived on time, did a good job, tested everything including finding an old cable left behind from a removed electric shower, routed all the new cables neatly and left the place tidy. Communication from Neil through the whole process from first enquiry through post-install checkup was proactive and efficient, and helped clarify the ev charger purchase and install process.
Can’t ask for anything more, and would happily recommend.

Installation of Simpson EV charger for Tesla Y and found Energize through the Tesla site. From start to finish Neil was the most helpful and informative person I have ever dealt with from a Trades company. Politely changed my mind on Charger type based on minimalistic look and feel needs and the whole process from contact to install was about 3 weeks. Installers were quick, helpful and very tidy with no mess left whatsoever. Absolute top job and would recommend Neil and the team at Energize to anyone.
