We are trusted and reliable electricians who serve customers throughout the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We have extensive experience of residential and business electrical installations both large and small.
As an NICEIC approved contractor, we at Energize Electrical will always aim to put the high standards of the NICEIC into everything we do and always adhere to the highest levels of safety and perform the best quality of work possible for all our customers.
This means that our work is regularly assessed to ensure that it meets all the current regulations as well as the industry standards. It also gives our customers, reassurance and guarantees that if for any reason work does not meet the correct standard it will be corrected under the terms of the scheme.

We needed some ceiling lights moved, a new ceiling light added, and a new socket in our hallway. Our timescales were quite tight, but Energize did their best to accommodate us so that it would tie in with our plasterer. This was much appreciated. Ross was allocated our job and he arrived when he said he would and carried out the job to a high standard. From the initial chat with Neil, to Campbell coming round to assess the job, then Ross completing the job, Energize Electrical were a pleasure to deal with. Very professional, good communications, efficient, and left the house as they found it. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely choose them for all future works.

As per my review on the 14th of December 2023 Energize Electrical Ltd. have now completed that repeat job to the same level of professionalism, which is excellent. Two jobs in and satisfied with their process and the results... I have Energize Electrical on "speed-dial" for whenever I need a dependable Electrician.

We had an EICR performed on a large 1930s flat, and the electrician from Energize arrived promptly, was very professional, and gave us a fair assessment of the overall condition of the electrics when he finished the job. A written report with a very reasonable estimate to undertake necessary repairs was provided in a timely way. Will be having Energize back out to quote for additional upgrades as well as the repairs recommended on the EICR.

We had Energize Electrical install a series of recessed downlights in our hallway. We were very happy with the work they did and will have them back to do further work we have planned in the future.
After contacting them via Trusted Trader, they were quick to arrange a visit, stressing that they don't provide quotes without one (something that none of the others we contacted did). I felt assured after the visit that they knew exactly what was involved in the job.
After discussing the job, they sent me several quotes for different options, clearly explaining what was involved in each. Their pricing was fair and, unlike other quotes we received, included minor decorative repair work.
On the day, they arrived on time and discussed the work with us before proceeding. They carried out the job quickly and professionally, taking additional steps to minimise the visibility of the work. We were happy with the repair work that was done, and they cleaned properly after the job.

We had an EV wallbox fitted to the house. Neil explained the options to us and made recommendations as to which device and options to include. Very professional company. Communications are excellent throughout the engagement and the completed work itself being of high quality and left very tidy after it had completed. Definitely recommend this company if you need an EV wallbox fitted and I would use them again for any future electrical work.

I called two other companies - one never got back to me and the other took 3 weeks to reply? But Energise responded straight-away!
Neil was hugely attentive in answering my questions and addressing my concerns. His team were courteous and professional, installing the exterior security lighting both creatively and discreetly.

Installed an oven plus hob which required a new 32A circuit from the consumer unit. Excellent communication from the initial site survey through to the installation. The work was carried out on schedule and to a high standard.

After a Trusted Trader search for an Electrician and at short notice, Energize Electrical Ltd. made themselves available to perform an EICR and Consumer Unit renewal at a private residential rental property that I manage. The initial, lead-up and closing communication with the firm was excellent. I know enough about domestic electrical systems to be a "know-it-all" customer. This knowledge was welcomed by Energize Electrical Ltd. and, as a result, we worked well together. The Electrician that attended to the job was pleasant and respectful to the property and the tenants within. The job was completed as advised it would and the end result was neat. I have since, with confidence, booked Energize Electrical Ltd. to repeat the job in another property I manage.

Call out issue with a charger. Neil followed up with telephone call to ensure I knew what issues were and then surveyor called and resolved the issue straight away. Polite and efficient highly recommend them.

I had a bathroom light switch pull-chord and light switch base replaced by Energize Electrical Ltd, Clermiston, after it snapped and broke and they provided an excellent service on all fronts.
They were easy to communicate with, quick to assess the nature of our needs, source the products, respond to our deadlines, follow up with us reliably every step of the way and delivered a first class service and product on time and at a more competitive price than other local electricians. A high standard service providing value for money. I highly recommend them and dealing with Neil.
