Energize Electrical was established to provide a comprehensive service to all domestic and commercial sectors.
We are trusted and reliable electricians who serve customers throughout the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We have extensive experience of residential and business electrical installations both large and small.
As an NICEIC approved contractor, we at Energize Electrical will always aim to put the high standards of the NICEIC into everything we do and always adhere to the highest levels of safety and perform the best quality of work possible for all our customers.
This means that our work is regularly assessed to ensure that it meets all the current regulations as well as the industry standards. It also gives our customers, reassurance and guarantees that if for any reason work does not meet the correct standard it will be corrected under the terms of the scheme.

Installation of two light fittings into an old wiring installation, including modification of circuit wiring and earthing.
Energize were quick to respond to the initial enquiry. Communication throughout was clear and they were able to slot me into a cancellation to bring forward the works. Installer, Jordan, was efficient and job done right first time. Follow up from management team to make sure I was happy.
All in all, very happy.

I had smoke alarms installed in my mother's flat to bring her up to date with legislation (overdue but she's stubborn) I was very happy with the whole process from Energize Electrical. The online form, telephone confirmation for what was required, estimate and then completion of work by a clean, tidy and efficient young man. I will have no hesitation to use again.

From the outset, the initial communication was quick and clear. A personal site visit was arranged early on to technically assess the installation, and a really good solution was then proposed that suited my home perfectly and made the most of my existing PV system.
Costs were provided promptly, followed quickly by arranging an installation date. On the day itself, the operatives arrived early and got straight to work. They were friendly, efficient, and the quality of workmanship was excellent — the installation is neat, tidy, and very well finished.
I was given all the relevant paperwork and manuals and talked through the operation of the charger clearly before they left. Overall, a great job from start to finish. I’m very happy not just with the installation, but also with the technical advice and the well‑thought‑out solution and product provided. Highly recommended.

We needed a couple of ancient lights replaced that were beyond my skill level! Energize were quick to respond with a good quote, and we were really lucky to get a cancellation appointment a few days later. The work was completed promptly with no mess, and we're really happy with the results. We'll definitely use them next time we need any electrical works done in the flat.

I was recommended Energize electrical for an Ev charger installation ( though they provide a full electrical service). Communication was excellent, by email, text and phone throughout. Prompt and thorough. The survey was carried out quickly and possible solutions were discussed and agreed upon. A quote was promptly provided with digital acceptance available by email. We delayed accepting due to circumstances, but when 6 months later I got back in touch, they resurveyed without issue and stood by their original quote. The installation was quickly arranged and performed to a high standard. Everyone arrived in time and did the job tidily and to a high standard. I am very happy with the service and the result and would recommend to all. Thanks to Neil and Campbell.

Several security lights around the house were installed very professionally. A site visit was undertaken to accurately define the scope of work and discuss potential issues specific to this location. A comprehensive quote was received prior the the work being carried out. We are extremely satisfied with the look and operation of the system.

I would highly recommend Energize Electrical for anyone looking for an electrician. They are very professional in their approach to the whole of the job from first contact through to completion, turned up for each scheduled appointment on time and carried out the installation of a security camera and light above the garage door very efficiently. All the staff are a pleasure to deal with.

We wanted to replace a gas hob with an electric induction hob due to issues with our gas. After getting the gas pipes closed off we were trying to work out how we would get a powerful enough electricity supply to our kitchen island for a hob. We got another couple of quotes which involved pulling up the floor. Campbell came round for a look and came up with a simple solution of fishing the cable from a created hole under the kitchen unit in the extension, the 6 meters to the accessible underfloor in the old part of the house. The solution saved us between £500 to £1,000 compared to the other quotes. So, very happy. And cooking on better than gas now.

I had a great experience with Energize Electrical. They upgraded my fuse board and sorted a few electrical issues in my flat, and everything was done to a really high standard. Communication was clear, responsive, and easy to deal with. They were always on time, reliable, and did exactly what they said they would. The guys who carried out the work were very approachable and went above and beyond, especially when dealing with a tricky issue they managed to find and replace. Really pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend them to others.

I recently had two new pendants, a new switch, and new socket installed by Energize Electrical. Very happy with the work carried out.
