Due to badly leaking windows I had previously had a different window repair company attempt to repair my windows. They made the problem worse and claimed that my only resolution was to buy new windows. I contacted Graeme Reid (GR Window specialists) to come out and quote me for new windows. I anticipated that it would cost me in the region of £2,500 to replace the windows. However the two very polite and helpful chaps from GR Window Specialists quickly established that the windows could indeed be repaired. After 3.5 years of leaking windows -which due to being at home with a young baby each day and constant rain - it was really beginning to get me down. Windows fixed professionally and with great care by GR Window Specialists. 12 month guarantee should any leaks re-appear, but touch wood - so far so good. Wish I had contacted GR Window Specialists in the first place. Good reliable service and very reasonably priced.

I have been really pleased with my experience with GR Windows from start to finish. They responded promptly to any queries and I was really impressed with Andy & Jack who fitted the windows and cills. They were polite and professional, and I'm very pleased with the quality of their work.

I originally contacted Graeme and his team to fix a window; they came out and put a temporary fix on it (no charge) while my partner and I decided whether to just replace our windows outright. Andy came out to evaluate and talk us through the various options; GR had an excellent reputation and their evaluation was on the cheaper end of the scale too!

The windows were put in yesterday, and the team were punctual, professional and got a difficult job (4th floor flat in middle of the Old Town) done with a minimum of fuss. They are a massive improvement on what was there before, and very reasonably priced.

Cannot fault this company. Completed the job in time specified, cleaned up when finished the job and left me with beautifully fitted windows and doors. Good value for money. Would highly recommend this company. Nice to support an independent company run by a hard working team instead of an expensive retail chain. No obligation initial quote didn't include a pushy sales chat either.

We had original wood windows throughout the front of our villa flat and wanted to get PVC double-glazing but keep the look and feel of our heritage windows. Graeme suggested we replace our old windows with sash and case PVC, and we are very happy with the results. The service and the standard of the windows were all excellent. Graeme, Chris and Andy were all great to work with and patiently and knowledgably answered all our questions, and were very accomodating. Great service, really happy with the speed that Graeme corresponds, much cheaper than what we were expecting for a front and back door with screen surround. On the day of fitting the boys arrived early, were happy to be left on their own and were so patient with my dad, who has dementia as he got ready to go out. All areas were cleaned and old doors and all other waste removed. I was phoned when the work was completed as well. Would definitely recommend especially if you are worried about relatives having to be in the home when workmen are around. I felt very relaxed and comfortable with the team that came to do the work.

They did a great job. Really pleased with the quality and the price was very competitive. Workmen were polite, friendly and cleaned up after themselves.

Most importantly, for me, there was no hard sell when I asked for a quote. They came round and measured up, asked me for all the details needed and were done in less than an hour. Got back to me a couple of days later with the quote. No putting up with a salesman for the whole evening who says you can only get the discounted price if you sign up there and then.

After receiving several quotes from various firms I decided to go with GR Window and Door because of their competitive prices and the fact that I could check the quality and design at their retail premises.

The manner of the salesperson who gave the initial quote was informative, and friendly. At no point did I feel pressured.

The fitting of the windows was very professional. Andy and his team were conscientious workers and took pride in what they do. Their work was of a very high standard. They worked steadily and kept me informed along the way. They cleaned up after themselves. When the job was completed Andy noticed a scratch on one of the panes of glass ( I would never have noticed it was so small) the pane of glass was ordered and replaced promptly. I was impressed by their integrity.

This company was a pleasure to deal with and I would definably recommend them. I will be needing doors replaced in the near future and will absolutely use this company again.

Graeme responded promptly to my request for a quotation for secondary double glazing for 2 bay windows. Unlike the other 2 firms, GR Window & Door Specialists discussed the different options available and their pros and cons. With a very competitive price, I gave the work to Graeme and I am very pleased I did. Andy and his team fitted the windows in the time that they said they would take and left the rooms clean and tidy. We contacted Graeme regarding a repair on our windows. He got back to us straight away & organised a time to visit that suited us. On both occasions that they came they were reliable & on time. When the guys came out they were very courteous, polite & knowledgeable. They did an excellent job & it was very reasonably priced.
