General repairs on roof and particularly to counteract water penetration in bedroom. Problem seemed to be solved but we still had some water penetration and Kay’s we’re back within hours to assess the situation and a few days later made time to get to the root of the problem and fix it.

We've been having our windows replaced over time, as and when we can afford to do it. This time we had our patio door replaced. The work was finished to a high standard within the day. All the facings are very neatly finished, mitres are perfect. The external finish is neat and tidy too. The UPVC door seems to be a high standard and we're very happy with it; a big improvement over the door that was replaced - we noticed the difference in the warmth in the house the first evening. After the work was completed all the rubbish was taken away and the work area cleaned and vacuumed. David is great to deal with - we'll continue to work with W H Kay for our window and roof repairs as well as any other building jobs around our home.

Alan and his brothers work has been exceptional. They are very professional, trustworthy and great value for the quality of their work. Alan helped me get the project off the ground in every way - from discussing the pros and cons to my ideas, ensuring that I had East Lothian Council permission, coming up with cost effective plans when small hiccups occurred, as well as answering my numerous emails/ texts along the way quickly and calmly. I had non-structural work done - the knocking down of two walls, installation of bi-fold doors, new ceiling in dining room and hall, installation of vestibule.

Removal of old wood fascia board around upstairs dormer bathroom and bedroom windows, replaced with UPVC. Having previously had work carried out by David and Alan we were once gain very pleased with the result.

We needed a repair to one of our dormers and our guttering renewed. Alan and David worked really hard on our job and had the flexibility to repair another problem we discovered during the job we had contacted them for. They arrived when they said they would and during a time where it looked like they could be rained off to take advantage of an unexpected dry period. They provided ongoing updates to the work they were doing. I would not hesitate to recommend the company.

The work was to remove, advise on and repair a wall in our dining room, enabling the garden doors to open and close freely and clearing out all damp materials caused by a faulty gutter; also to re-align water down-pipes that had been partly responsible for the faulty gutter.

W.H.Kay came exactly when they said they would, did the work very efficiently, cleared away all waste materials, painted the wall and showed us how they had repaired the faulty gutter. They advised us on future maintenance.

Repairing/replacement of loose/damaged roof tiles.

We found the firm of WH Kay to be extremely professional, courteous and reliable and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Removing all leaves and debris from gutters, brush moss off small roof at front of house, repair down pipe at side of house, remove old seats and metal tresils at side of house and seal concrete round windows with acrylic sealant.
They also noticed and made repairs to the gutter by supplying and fitting 2 stop ends and a new bit of gutter, screwed a plastic verge cap on the small roof to hold in place and stop the wind blowing it off.

Very nice people who got on with the work without any fuss.
