Alan and David have done a lot of work for me over the years, and they have never faulted in providing the most professional and skilled work of anyone i've dealt with. The late March & early April rain caused my roof to leak & rain water to come into my hall.
I contacted a couple of roofing companies, but only William H Kay treated this like the emergency it was.
They asked for photos of the external & internal areas, after which they advised me what would need doing & the expected cost, which I accepted, & David turned up a couple of days later.

He did an amazing job of clearing away decades of rubble & found numerous problems in the section involved, all of which he photographed to show & discuss with me before he carried out any work, then took more pics afterwards, & what a difference, & everything seems fine again, so money well spent.

I paid my bill today, & because I will certainly use them again, I also sent them an email asking to be added to any waiting list they have, as well as detailing another 3 jobs I would like done this year.

Work done covered roof and gutter repairs to a traditional farm cottage building, involving installation of some new cast iron guttering and the attachment of gutter support brackets. Also the replacement of several hip tiles on the roof and work to secure other tiles.

Work done to a very high standard - we have worked with W.H. Kay before and will definitely do so again.

Outside joinery work. Boxing in of pipes and refelting side of shed. New door made and attached. All work done to a professional standard. Very tidy workers, cleaned up and site left immaculate as found before they started.

Excellent work, friendly and considerate team who simply got on with the job (wall demolition, insertion of steel beam, finishing, plasterwork) with no fuss and completed it to time and to a high standard. Would certainly recommend to others.

David Kay has done several jobs for us over the years, all highly satisfactory. This job was the replacement of two windows in difficult locations in a historic building. They came on time, took great care and did a fine job.

We had new patio doors fitted. David was able to provide us with a quote very quickly and also managed to install the doors for us earlier than expected. David and his team were excellent and made a beautiful, neat job. I hope to use him again later in the year for double glazing throughout the house.

Old garage door removed and replacement fitted. Once again very pleased with the work carried out.

I had Alan and David come to check my roof and clear the gutters. Although very busy, they were able to fit the work in quite soon after I had made the original request. They are very punctual, undertook the work and took all materials away with them.

I have used this company a no. of times over the years for large and small jobs and have always been happy with their work and professionalism so would highly recommend.

Gutters cleaned thoroughly of excessive moss, slime and dirt due to close proximity of large trees near the property. Have used W.H.Kay a number of times now for this type of roof and building work and found them to be punctual, reliable, trustworthy and very good to deal with. Additionally, no mess made and all residues removed from site.

W.H. Kay installed a bifold door and two patio doors at our property in September 2019. The work was structural and was carried out in accordance with plans from both the architect and structural engineer. From my experience with W.H. Kay on this job I cannot recommend them highly enough. I first spoke to Alan 4 months before work began. He came round, asessed the job, answered all my questions and then emailed me a quote. He gave me a date on which work would commence (which turned out 4 months later to be the very day upon which he arrived to start work). In that 4 month period we must have exchanged around 20 emails - Alan was always quick to respond with answers to queries/slight changes to plans etc. - most times I would receive a response on the same day. Alan and his brother arrived on the Monday morning to start work and were there for a week - all day, every day. As the job went on they would give me options as to how I wanted things done rather than just pick the one that was easiest - I wanted the threshold of the doors to be close to floor level rather than a step up which meant cutting into the concrete cill at the bottom of the house. They just said no problem, fired up the stihl saw and got on with it. The end product is stunning, solid as a rock - just a great job all round. Both Alan and David are friendly, approachable, hard working and best of all they seem to really care about the job they are doing. I've had experiences (like most people) with builders in the past ranging from ok to down right crooks - W.H. Kay are by far the best builders I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. If you need work done and are lucky enough that they have space in their schedule - hire these guys!
