David and Alan arrived on time to fit an additional handrail on our staircase. They worked efficiently and to an excellent standard. The new handrail matches the existing one perfectly and is very robust. It is exactly what was requested and we are delighted with the end result. Have already recommended them to others.

Removed old wooden fence panels and posts. Dug new holes for new posts. Supplied and erected new posts and boards. Refitted two existing gates and removed all old material.
A first class job undertaken by first class tradesmen. They were always organised and arrived when they said they would. Were polite and friendly. From first quote to completed work we were totally satisfied. This is the second time we have used this trader and would have no hesitation to recommend to others. The weather at the time was not too kind but the work carried on without complaints from the tradesmen.

They fitted a suntube with the minimum of disturbance as a special request when I was let down by another roofer and I am delighted with the result.

Had Alan out took at some work needed to repair/replace some guttering and downpipes and general roof maintenance - replace slates, pointing work. Arrived promptly as usual and provided a clear assessment of what needed done and (I thought) a fair price. He advised that they were very busy and it would take a few months before he could schedule the work and I was happy to wait. He duly contacted me a few months later and he and another worker came out and completed the work in the course of a day. Turns up when he says, does a good job and charges are reasonable. We asked WH Kay to quote for adding a side access door to our standalone garage to save opening the up & over door every time I wanted a screw driver from my tool box.
Alan arrived to give as quote when he said he would, gave us a start date and carried out the work accordingly, leaving their work area clean & tidy.
The door had a slight manufacturing problem problem which they took ownership of and that is now satisfactorily rectified.

Two separate storm damage repairs to my roof carried out in January and February. Considering the pressure they are under at the moment the work was carried out quickly with an efficient and friendly service. Happy to recommend them.

Garage roof needed replaced after 35 years. David advised on best type to get and sent us a quote which we accepted. Aim was a non-maintenance roof to avoid future painting. David and Alan carried out this task over several days in December 2019. All existing roof, timber facia and gutters were removed and a couple of new roof beams installed to replace rotten ones. Three layers of felt were laid on new roof deck as well as uPVC fascia around roof and new guttering. New garage door was also ordered to complete project. Delighted with finished job. David and Alan arrived when they said they would and cracked on with the work. Would certainly recommend.

A sun pipe was installed. Alan was not available straight away as he had other work booked. I took this as a good sign and so it proved. When the work was done Alan, and his helper, turned up at the agreed time and date and carried out the task in a cheerful and friendly manner. The job was completed in the agreed time frame and they tidied up afterwards. All in all I am highly satisfied with the work done and would recommend Alan to future customers.

Repaired a loose down pipe and cleaned the gutters front and Back. David and his colleague arrived when they said they would, and carried out the necessary work promptly and to a high standard.

Great work again from David and Alan - the work done was removal of 4 old timber windows and frames, supply and fit 4 new rosewood and white double glazed UPVC windows all with obscure glass also fit new internal sills to suit, and then remove all rubbish. All the work was carried out neatly and accurately, and they cleaned up really well both days they were here. Really pleased with their work again - would definitely recommend.

Every time I've need something done to my house David always does a good job of it.
This time it was replacing a couple of my roofs ridge tiles, which I reported to them the day after Storm Eowyn, & they were here on the following Tuesday, now that is fantastic service.

I contacted Alan about adding some perpend vents and sealing a window that another contractor had left unfinished. We needed this work done in order to get a completion certificate from the council. Alan was professional and friendly throughout the process, the work was done sooner than we had originally expected, and we were able to successfully get our completion certificate. Would definitely recommend!

I hired W H Kay to replace some cracked and loose tiles on my roof and to repair the lead flashing. They checked over the complete roof and repaired all areas which needed attention.
