Our Himalayan Birch tree had become unruly in the last couple of years so we sought help from Murdoch Wood. Grant responded quickly to our request and suggested the remedial action required, 'lifting' the tree crown, removing some top growth and a general trimming of side growth to restore the tree's shape.

The work was carried out very efficiently by the crew who clearly possessed both the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake the work. On completion the whole area was cleared of debris and left in first class condition.

Very pleasant guys to deal with- professional and cleaned up all debris after the tree work had been completed.

This is the second year Murdoch Wood have cut my rather large leylandii hedges and a high and wide beech/hawthorn hedge. They have also done tree work.

Given that my house is in a rural location which is very exposed to the weather, I wanted a reliable and professional company to replace defective timbers on the roof. An on site visit by one of the directors assessed what work was required, and a quote soon followed which I accepted on the basis the work would be undertaken the following early autumn. It was very easy to finalise the actual date of the works with Shona who always replied to my emails by the next day. The fitters..one joiner and a slater arrived on the due date, took the necessary measurements for the timber and returned later that day to start work which was completed by the end of the next day. They took a lot of care to keep disruption to the minimum, were very helpful and approachable and they tidied up afterwards. All in all this is an excellent company to deal with especially with regard to a critical repair to my house before winter sets in.

I had a a socket extension added to our shed.
I originally asked for one but on the day asked if another could be put in place and John completed this with no issue what so ever.
