After calling a few places, I found Smart Gas was the most reasonably priced for an engineer to come out. The engineer was polite and efficient, explaining things clearly. New boiler installed soon after. Another excellent engineer. Very knowledgeable, tidy, efficient, smart and explained the new system clearly. Would highly recommend.

Our 10-year old combi boiler failed its annual inspection so we needed to have a replacement supplied and fitted as soon as possible. Smart Gas Solutions contacted me a matter of minutes after I made a request on the Ediburgh Trusted Trader website. They provided a competitive quote, and came and fitted the boiler less than 48 hours after I accepted the quote. Everything was left clean and tidy. We weren't clear how the wireless thermostat worked, and they were happy to pop back and show us. My experience of dealing with Smart Gas Solutions was definitely a positive one from start to end.

On my return the areas where the men had been working were all clean and tidy.

This company removed our old boiler and huge water tank and installed a new combi boiler in the same day. They came on the day arranged and were two really nice guys who new what they were doing. On job completion you would never have known they had been in the flat as all debris had been removed and hoovered. Just had the yearly service done on the day arranged with no problems whatsoever. Dealing with the office is also a pleasure.

Two jobs, one a boiler replacement and the other a replacement pipework completed to a very high standard and by a very efficient friendly team of workers. I was most impressed and will definitely use SmartGas again if and when required. Arrived bang on time for both occasions and at the end of both jobs, cleared and cleaned up to a highly satisfactory standard.

SmartGas helped with a range of plumbing and gas heating jobs which I needed when renovating my flat in Stockbridge. They did great work and got everything sorted out, even though the jobs stretched out over several months due to delays with other trades. No hesitation in recommending and will use again.

Had work done on cistern. Insides were stripped out and completely upgraded.
Workmen were prompt, efficient and mannerly.

Arrived at due time and date to estimate and arrived and finished job on schedule.

Removed old boiler and heating system and tank, fitted new combi boiler, replaced pipework and fitted new flue, fitted new bathroom radiator, fitted new drain and water supply for washing machine.

Ross and Michael done an amazing job. Came bang on time cracked on and was so friendly. Made me feel comfortable and talked me through the process of installation to give me some insight into what was getting done which was interesting. Was shown thoroughly how to work my new boiler and any questions raised were answered in depth. A big thank you to both Ross and Michael for all your hard work.

I've just had an ancient hot/cold tank system boiler replaced with a new combi-boiler in my Victorian upper colonies flat.

Great communication from SmartGas, from quote stage to the end.
An unusual job as gas and water piping had to be added and removed from different locations but all challenges were fully explained and efficiently overcome.
It was also a messy job due to the work scope but they performed a good post-work clean-up.
The team had a great work ethic and attitude (they worked over normal hours just to get to a good stopping point on day 1 of 2).
Post work inspection and run-through of set and controls was also clear and with patience.
More than happy to use them again
