THE job, a small and fiddly one, involved adjusting shutters to open and shut despite a new kitchen worktop restricting the space. We couldn't have been more impressed by the care and attention that Campbell of Newtown Renovations took to complete work very successfully. Thank you.

Newtown Renovations completed work in my flat in a timely and professional manner. I plan to hire them again for our next project. They stepped in when I had been let down by another company and fully delivered. Jonathon and his team carried out joinery, painting, and decorating in a sitting room and completely redid a cloakroom WC, which required painting, joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, etc. It was very convenient to have all of these tasks handled in house. All members of the team were professional and friendly.

Jonathan and his team at Newtown Renovations did a really great job for us carrying out renovation works to a flat in a listed building. Work included roof repairs, stone work repairs, replacing a damaged window lintel, replastering, insulating, electrics, decorating and installing new high spec timber sash windows (City Council approved).

Jonathan coordinated the work, kept me informed and brought in extra trades as required whilst providing sound advice and keeping to budget. The standard of work was excellent and I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Newtown Renovations.

Jonathon and his team came to fix work done by a previous builder (that we had sourced from Which? reviews) that had left us with plumbing leaks and buckled floors. Jonathon was punctual from the initial quoting phase, and his team mirrored this all the way through the job.

They had to redo the entire bathroom - stripping it back to the bare brick, and then reinstalling everything, alongside replacing the bath with a shower tray and moving the shower heads and installing a fan. We were particularly apprehensive about the tiling, as the work by the previous builder had been so inconsistent. However, all of Jonathon's team were diligent and precise.

The floors in the corridor and both bedrooms also had to be removed and reinstalled due to incorrect installation and a plumbing leak caused by the previous builder. I was impressed by the team's attention to detail, especially with our bespoke soundproofing underfloor materials.

They had to re-plaster a kitchen wall as well. Again, they were quick and got it right first time.

Finally, they also did some bespoke joinery - mainly a new set of wardrobe doors in the main bedroom, but also the front door and internal transitions. The materials and work was always done to a high quality.

Jonathon regularly came around to inspect the work and make sure we were happy. His office team were also checking in on a weekly basis.


In terms of snagging there was almost none, but of the small bits that needed fixing, they were attended to quickly and remediated properly.

After a stressful year dealing with a poor tradesman, Newtown Renovations was a refreshing business to work with, and I want to make a special shout out to Campbell, the project manager on our job, who was always ready to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy, he is a credit to the team.

We have recently completed a large window project carried out by Newtown involving the removal and replacement of our large wooden sash an case windows at the front of our building. The work was first class and the workmen themselves were all decent fellows who worked with us to ensure minimum disruption to our business.

Extensive refurbishment of wooden windows including the replacement of rotten sills and painting. Replacement of a wooden surround for an outside garden door. Replacement of a broken large window pane.
The owner, Jonathon, made himself available by phone and email. He inspected the work regularly as it progressed. At the end of the job he walked around the property with me to make sure that I was happy.
Newtown Renovations did a lot of work at my house within a tight timescale. I found the company to be responsive to my needs, professional and providing good value for money.

We have used Newtown Renovations three or four times now to replace around half of the windows in our house and they have done an excellent job on each occasion.

Jonathon and his team have done several bits of work for us over the years, most recently extending and replacing several skylights in a georgian roof. They always do what they say they will do and charge what they say they will charge. They are friendly and punctual, and leave the place as tidy as it can be at the end of each day and at the end of the project. I found it hard to comment on value for money because we've been so satisfied with the work that we haven't had anyone else quote for it for ages!

I'll use New Town again and always recommend them.

I had 6 Windows refurbished, level of finish is great and the overall impact on the flat is significant. Feels like money well spent. Work was delivered on time, done with care and finished to the level I hoped for. Jonathon and his team, including the painter, did a great job and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Newtown Renovations installed replacement timber sash and case double glazed windows (35 in total) to our property in a conservation area. They also carried out full restoration of all the original shutters including crafting new leaves where required. The workmanship of the whole team is excellent.
Jonathon has since completed a number of other projects for us, all to the same excellent standards.

NRltd worked with my architect to install a Velux window in my ceiling/roof. They followed the architect's drawings, cutting a hole in my ceiling and roof, making good all the plaster in that room including removing old ceiling coving around the room to give a sharp modern look to that room. They then repainted the whole room including woodwork and Victorian radiator.

They exceeded my expectations, truly. I particularly commend the painter, David, who did not hesitate to accomodate my extra painting requests which were totally outwith the agreed project brief. David also cleaned the inside of my windows in that room which were flecked in places with spots of plaster.

Newtown Renovations fitted new wooden sash and case windows to our house in East Lothian.

Shane, Ben and Aaron were the team who installed the windows. They managed to install the new windows with minimal damage to surrounds and continually cleaned up any mess. Very hard working and excellent quality work.

Newtown Renovations recently carried out a full refurbishment of my sash and case windows. Jonathon and the onsite team (Liam and Shane) kept me well informed throughout, including liaising with the painters, and everyone managed to keep the mess to a minimum, despite the understandable upheaval. I am delighted with my finished windows - they are now all fully draught-proofed, open and close smoothly and the whole flat is noticeably warmer (and quieter) now that the work has been done.
