Three minor (domestic) electrical jobs, all completed to my satisfaction. Recommended by colleagues, Andrew was courteous on the phone and responded promptly with an estimate for the work. Craig, who carried out the work, was polite and efficient and turned up exactly when I was told he would. I will feedback my positive experience to colleagues at work and have already recommended to a neighbour who had asked which electrician I had used.

Craig was on time, professional, knowledgable and genuine at the same time. He had to spend a lot of time figuring out the fuse box - it was a bit of an antique - and some other complications. He answered all my questions and explained how things worked to the level that I could understand.
Andrew was basically always very fast at responding. Initially a bit curt (I assume they get a lot of requests for a quote without follow up), once we looked at what needed to be done etc, he was very helpful.
The only hick-up, and I’m not sure who’s fault it was, was that somehow I had not given and they had not asked for my exact address. So had I not checked my email just before he was meant to come, I would have wasted their and my time waiting.
I had to give a rating for value of money but honestly, I have no idea.

Andrew is professional, polite, trustworthy, helpful and exceptionally tidy. He fitted a new consumer unit and smoke alarms efficiently and neatly in my Edinburgh flat, leaving it clean. He arrived on time, was very pleasant and competent. The quote was slightly less competitive than others, but after chatting to him he seemed reliable and a someone who would behave decently, which for me is always worth the money.

I had Andrew come and do a number of jobs for me.
Had a new hob fitted, new extractor, two lights changed and a new double plug fitted.
He was on time, very tidy, very clean, well presented and had good chat.
He also provided a light bulb and IKEA hanger when I didn't have the correct ones.
He was also really efficient and got the job done quickly.

I am so pleased with the work completed and how clean and tidy it was i could not recommend him high enough.

While initially asking for a quote for works, Andrew was able to complete the jobs, including purchasing some additional equipment, within a reasonable timescale. Just got on with it and explained what he was doing and why and then organised how things worked.

We used Lumen Electrical to perform some safety-changes in my mother-in-law's flat as she is now suffering from dementia.
The cooker and hob were cleverly isolated so that they could not be used and a security cover was installed over one of the double sockets.
Craig was excellent, efficient and very sensitive to the situation.
I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use Lumen again in the future.

Problem with spotlights in bedroom. Turned out only to be a simple issue with a dimmer switch however the job was dealt with very professionally from start to finish. Would highly recommend Lumen.

We had sockets moved along a wall - and had a great experience with Lumen. They came out the same day for a look at the work and to give a quote and were easy and flexible to book in for the work to be carried out. Craig attended to give the quote and also do that work and was friendly, professional and did a fantastic job. The work looks brilliant, even the part hidden in a cupboard looks smart and tidy. He clearly takes pride in his work.
We would not hesitate to recommend Lumen and we will be using their services again for any other electrical work we need.

I phoned Andrew and left a voice message, then also wrote an email with more details about the job. He returned my call and answered my mail within a couple of hours, and I was pleased that he could do the job the next day.

Andrew attended to investigate an 'ongoing' problem with 'lack of hot water' at an elderly relative's property. Problem was traced, with a 'temporary electrical fix' made, to ensure hot water was available. Will be returning, in near future, to install the required items for a permanent fix.
