My sister and I replaced our smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms (which had reached their expiry date) and installed a smoke alarm in our sitting room, in accordance with the new government regulations. Both Andrew and his colleagues who carried out the work on the arranged date were friendly, professional and efficient and everything was left in an immaculate condition.

Lumen was recommended to me by a friend. Andrew came around shortly after I contacted Lumen to inspect the work required and give me a price and timescale. The work started on the agreed date and time. Craig came to install a new power socket and move an existing light switch, which proved to be very tricky in view of the structure of the walls. He worked hard with Andrew's input to ensure a satisfactory result with minimal damage to existing wall structures, repaired the plasterboard where required and cleaned up afterwards. I am very pleased with the result and the price and will certainly use Lumen again for any further electrical work in my flat. Highly recommended!

Deeply impressive standard of workmanship and great attention to detail. The installation of both exterior security lights and awkward and complex replacement of hall lights was carried out very well and extremely neatly. Lumen installed some new electric heaters for me last year, and I was very happy with their work then. So when I had a small list of electrical problems to deal with as 2020 arrived, it felt like a no brainer to ask them to come and sort said problems.

Once again, they've fixed the problems promptly and efficiently. Craig arrived as expected and set about fixing my electrical sockets, wiring in some new ceiling lampshades, fixing the bathroom ceiling light, and doing a few other small fixes. He was friendly and tidy, and dealt with all the issues on the list perfectly.

Andrew was, as always, quick and polite in responding to emails to arrange the visit.

I always feel confident that Lumen will be there for me with electric problems, be they emergencies or not.

I thoroughly recommend Lumen, and I will continue to use them as my go-to electrical company.

They replaced three twin sockets and a light switch, as I had been hearing buzzing noises and was worried about loose wiring. Andrew, with whom I communicated, was very understanding of the situation and quickly arranged an appointment to have it looked at. Craig, who came to carry out the work, was professional and cordial and he did an excellent job.
Overall, I was very happy with their service and I will definitely be using it again.

Called Andrew mid-week and he arrived with an hour to estimate, then work was done by Friday morning. A small job but he was smart, please & tidied-up the mess so I 'd recommend his services.

I engaged Lumen to replace all my smoke/heat alarms, as per current legislation, which included installation of an additional alarm in a new required location. When Jordan the electrician did the initial assessment, he identified that my current consumer unit (some 20 years old and installed before my tenure in the house) did not have the required RCD protection built-in. The work, including installation of a new consumer unit was completed in early May to my total satisfaction. I particularly commend Lumen for the following: responsiveness to communication (quote came within 24 hours and installation date quickly followed acceptance); transparent itemised quotations; experienced, qualified and speedy execution of work. I commend also Jordan the electrician, who undertook my work, for his clear and patient communication in explaining things I was not familiar with. it is possible you may find cheaper quotes elsewhere, but I prefer to have confidence in the quality of work and competence of those doing it. Lumen deliver that and I will be using them again later in the year.
