Engineer who came to do 2 jobs, including repairing a fan, said it didn't need doing. When we noticed fan still not working, Keith Gunn tried to charge a second call out fee to come and do job original engineer was employed to do. We weren't happy. Keith Gunn would not budge on second call out fee so we ended up getting another electrician in to do the job which was done very efficiently ( and for half price Keith Gunn wanted). Extra item was charged for in invoice though this was corrected when this pointed out. I recognise the many good reviews here but would suggest people get other quotes, check invoices very carefully and prepare to go elsewhere when faults are not corrected.

The work carried out was done exactly as required, to a high standard & efficiently. It was done very soon after enquiry and with great communications from the team & excellent value for the service provided. I would definitely recommend Keith Gunn to friends/family and would go to them again for future jobs! Thank you!

Similar pricing to others but better advice on wiring regulation requirements. Electrician was swift, left hardly a trace that he had been and did a great job on our installation - very best and tidy. Thank you!

Fire alarm installation and investigating loose light fitting.

Light fitting - excellent, trustworthy tradesman and service

Have have several things done since late last year:

• Garage electrics disconnected after rainwater had trickled into the part of the garage where the old socket and light switch are;
• Repaired outside junction facility for all the other outside lights; and installed two new automatic floodlights at prominent corners of the house to light up my driveway area in the dark (both of which work well);
• Fixed a number of inside light connections on the same trip switch as, and therefore affected by, the work on the outside lights and garage disconnection;
• Replaced several old lights in the house with new LED equivalents, including new chandeliers for the two main rooms downstairs, and two good new wall lights for the stairs/upstairs landing.
• Also have had a (brief) review done of all my existing wiring - and because of its age and its materials therein, a full rewiring is now recommended - and I aim to get that done as well later this summer.

A few items of work required revisits after the main work was completed - in both February and May 2022 - but everything covered by the recent repair/replacement jobs works fine now as I would expect.

There was a proper quote done before the job was confirmed, the electrician who came to do the job was clean and tidy, didn’t leave any holes or anything where he had to drill, and the whole half day job was completed with the minimum of fuss and disruption.

The operative was professional and diligent, undertook the task in a logical manner in an attempt to locate the fault, and whilst unable to fix the issue offered an informed recommendation for the way forward.

Garden lighting system and installation of 5 outdoor wall lights. Initially a few problems but company took responsibility and ensured problems were rectified. Quick to respond. Nice people to deal with.

I found it hard to find an electrician to look at our Fire Curtain. They took the job on and did it well.

The installation engineer arrived on time, was friendly and had the job done in 5 minutes.

I recently arranged with Keith Gunn Electrical Solutions to change the bathroom light fittings from halogen to LED bulbs, and to install a switch in the hall for the bathroom lights, replacing a cord pull that failed every so often. They also needed to make a minor modification to the fusebox.

Their engineer arrived promptly at the stated time and did the work very neatly, efficiently and pleasantly. I was particularly pleased that putting in the switch led to minimal and barely noticeable disturbance to the wall above the switch in the hall, and nothing noticeable in the bathroom behind the wall.

The new lights and the switch are in good working order. I would certainly use KGES again for future electrical work.

After trying 4 other electricians and not hearing back, I was delighted to get straight through to KGES to get a quote and book the work. Our electrician turned up on time, was a great guy and very professional.
