Previously known as Keith Gunn Electrical, we have been providing first-class, quality electrical services in Edinburgh for over 30 years and have recently expanded to Glasgow where we offer the same great electrical services. I have used Keith Gunn on a number of occasions and the reason for this is that I know they will provide a good job for a fair price and are good to work with. Most recently they have replaced old and beyond-repair lights in the shared common hall and stairs of my flat and also reset the timer mechanism which was behaving erratically. The turned up when expected, did the work quickly leaving no mess.
After I first used Keith Gunn some years ago I recommended them to a relative who was similarly impressed and so recommended them to a neighbour - that says it all.

I wanted a few lights changed with the company supplying the basic fittings, and I asked if a light switch that turned on two lights could be changed to a double switch. I received a detailed quote before booking the job. Staff on the phone were all very friendly and helpful. The electrician (David) was professional, friendly and cheery - despite having been stuck in traffic. The work was all done quickly, neatly and he cleared up afterwards. David offered to change the switch there and then so everything was completed. Invoice matched the quote with the addition of the cost of the new switch.
I'm really pleased with the service. I have used Keith Gunn Electrical a few years ago for similar and for the stair light in a tenement, and this standard is consistent in my experience.

We had electricity installed in our garden office.
We were really impressed with how quickly Keith Gunn responded to our needs, including giving us a quote and carrying out the word required.
They were extremely helpful, making sure we could also run an intranet cable through the same space. Tidy and polite throughout the work, we couldn't have been happier with the service and would definitely highly recommend this company.

Common stair lighting repairs. Keith Gunn Electrical were very quick to respond, had great communication, turned up when planned, and completed the repairs effectively and quickly. The Electrician (Jamie) was really good: friendly and professional.

Keith Gunn performed a EICR assessment, and then replaced the faulty fuse box, fixed some unsafe wiring, and replaced non-waterproof lighting in the bathroom. They were professional, had good communication, and I have zero complaints about the work done. I will happily use them again if I need more work in the future.

Installed high capacity cable to allow installation of new electric range cooker. Required able to be out of sight, when kitchen and electric consumer unit at opposite ends of house. Electrician was very pleasant punctual and did a good tidy job. He appeared very competent in what he was doing.

Really impressed with the service from start to finish. Contacted the firm to complete an EICR on my own property after a few issues I had noticed. All phone / email enquires were handled promptly and efficiently. Both the initial inspection and then the follow up work were handled really well. All information was communicated precisely and I felt reassured that all suggested works were necessary. The work itself was carried out promptly and with respect for my home. The final bill was lower than the initial quote as one problem had been solved quicker and easier than predicted.
Really great service from everyone at the firm and the guys on site were really pleasant and knowledgable. Would definitely use the firm again.

Fitted two new storage heaters. Did an EICR plus the remedial work.
Reliable, did a tidy job that was well discussed beforehand (as storage heaters are expensive to buy so I needed the right ones for the situation). Things that were flagged up on the EICR did need doing - unlike some companies that are basically just punting for work when they do an EICR.
Very happy with them and hope they will be available if and when anything else electrical comes up.

We have now used Keith Gunn for 7/8 years. Initially they rewired our flat - and came to the rescue when a phone charger burned out, throwing the fuses.
More recently - the jobs the costs refer to - they have installed the essential smoke alarms etc and replaced old style lights in the hallway of the flat.
We have always been impressed by all aspects of their work - from initial contact to prompt arrival and neat tidy work. Their employees are always pleasant!

My new cooker was delivered 10 days early. I booked KGES promptly to install. At first this was 24 hours later, however KGES were able to move this forward to a couple hours after my initial call. The Electrician was prompt, polite, professional. The install was completed quickly after testing existing connections. After connecting, the cooker was fully tested. He detailed when the invoice would be received, and how to finalise payment. From start to finish, everything was made clear - more importantly all promises were kept and to a high standard. This was a small and urgent job, and KGES have proven themselves to be reliable and honest - and if I need an electrician again KGES will be my first call.

We needed a quick check done on kitchen lights and circuit board following a leak. Our enquiry was handled in a friendly manner by their office and the electrician turned up on time. He was courteous and professional and explained what he was looking for and checked everything as required.
