They came when they said they would for the initial appointment and gave up a sunny Saturday morning to carry out the work. Both guys were very pleasant, did a good job and tidied up afterwards. The bill was as quoted and very reasonable; the whole process was entirely hassle free... would that more companies were like them! Thoroughly recommended.

John installed a new central heating boiler last year and carried out the annual service on the boiler recently. Contacted him for emergency plumbing and John came out that day and fixed them. John is very professional, always on time, tidy, and I have always been satisfied with his costs for any jobs done, and have no hesitation in recommending John.

TLDR: Simply the best gas engineer I've ever come across.

John came at short notice to check on my 5 year old Worcester-Bosch compact combi boiler, which was dripping water whenever it was switched on. He was very busy that day but kept me updated on his arrival time. He quickly diagnosed two possible problems with the boiler, one of which (heat exchanger) would have been extremely expensive to fix. He then suggested that the boiler should still be under warranty but, a check on the website came up negative - turns out that the previous owners never bothered to register it. He then suggested we should call Worcester-Bosch while he was there so he could speak to them himself and waited patiently for 25(!) mins on hold. After speaking with them, Worcester-Bosch registered my boiler, which had 1(!) month left on it's warranty and arranged for one of their engineers to come round and fix it for free. Despite having clearly had a very long day, John was friendly and professional throughout and kindly removed his shoes at the front door to protect our newly cleaned carpets. I offered to pay him (the initial callout and diagnosis visit was free) but he said no so, the price of his time and excellent advice - which saved me a lot of money - was a cup of coffee and an apple. He's the best gas engineer I've ever come across, my mum and I were both very impressed by his competency, professionalism and attitude and I cannot recommend him enough.

John is an exceptional engineer who always ensures that work is carried out to a high standard. He has carried out a wide scope of jobs for ideal electrical solutions, he brings a vast knowledge and has never come across a problem with a boiler that he cannot resolve. I have worked with John for many years and will always continue to do so. Cannot reccomend him highly enough.

My aging boiler had developed a leak and was losing pressure. Another company wanted to replace it straight away and even quoted £852 for repairs. John was able to attend quickly and offered to try and repair it. He saved me £400 and set up a maintenance plan to give me time to budget for a new one. John is reliable, tidy and turned up when he said he would. Can’t recommend highly enough.

From quote to job finish they were very professional and I’m more than happy with my new bathroom and central heating , would definitely recommend them .

I phoned Citywide because after trying to reset my boiler four times it kept cutting out. I called citywide and they came out the following day. I didn’t realise that my boiler was still in warranty but Citywide did after asking me when it was fitted and they phoned Worcester with my details and didn’t charge me a penny. It would have been very easy for Citywide to investigate the problem and solve it themselves and take my money but they didn’t . As it happened, the problem was a blocked filter which Worcester found and cleared free of charge under warranty. What price a knowledgeable tradesman with integrity. Invaluable.

Citywide have done several jobs for us since we moved into our house as well as coming out at very short notice when we had an emergency. On every occasion, the work has been of the highest standard, the advice offered accurate and the charges very reasonable. Company by a friend and was glad I did first class guys from the start no fuss no mess job was first class guys were all polite and helpful shoe porters worn at all times and dust sheets to protect my property just a very good company all round will use again for any other work thank u guys

John installed a new boiler for my elderly mother. I took her away for the day. John was punctual, helpful, trustworthy and considerate and kept me informed by phone how he was getting on. The house was left tidy and clean and he had put the heating on so the place was nice and warm when we arrived back. I would highly recommend John's work to my family, friends and colleagues. Definitely worth 5 stars and more.

My boiler was not working properly for a while and left it expecting it to be a costly repair. I had to bite the bullet with the cold weather coming in so decided to phone city wide gas company after my friend recommended them . The gentleman who came was very friendly and professional and fixed the problem very fast and efficiently. The surprising thing is that the bill wasn’t as costly as I thought it would be . I would definitely recommend this company to everyone. Top marks all round . Gary Clark .

I called City Wide Gas Services when I had a leak coming from my tap. John came out without hesitation and stopped the leak. He then went out his way to get me a new tap and fitted the same day. I can’t recommend this company enough! Thank you!

Responded promptly to a situation where the SSE had cut off the gas in a rented flat, leaving the tenants without heating or hot water. He identified the source of the leak and dealt with it in a professional and friendly manner.

John gave an honest opinion about my boiler. I had an intermittent noise and he felt I should leave it for a few days before I finally decided what to do. I decided to get the part and change it over. Overall, I was very happy with the service that he provided and was easy to communicate with. Will definitely recommend and use again.
