Good quick service from John, with good value for new valve required on my Alpha boiler. Recommended!

Had a water tank replaced in salon last year and couldn’t fault the professionalism from John. His work was great and solved our leaking problem in no time with the utmost consideration to our busy clientele.
We were so pleased that we got him back to fit the boiler system 3 months later which yet again went very smoothly without a hitch!
I will definitely call Citywide again for any plumbing and heating needs.

I moved into my flat 5 weeks ago and have had problem after problem with my boiler, the main thing being getting no hot water through my shower and taps. I have had multiple people out to look at it (one who charged me £96 purely to stand in my flat for 10 minutes and not even touch the boiler other than switching a few buttons), until it got to the point I thought it was going to need completely replaced.

I found Citywide Gas on trusted trader - I was originally calling to ask for someone to come out and give me a quote for a new boiler. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was so lovely and kind, and he assured me they would get it sorted for me one way or another (I was on the brink of tears at this point ????). John came up that night and instead of throwing quotes at me, he looked at the boiler and took the time to try and figure out the issue.

Before I knew it, I had hot water running from my shower for the first time in 5 weeks! He also found some parts which needed replaced which he has kept me in the loop about as they have needed to be ordered in and will be getting fitted next week.

I am SO happy I found John/Citywide Gas, they have been nothing but amazing from the start and have made me feel completely at ease.

It’s easy to feel like you can get taken advantage of when it comes to getting quotes for certain things, which is definitely something I’ve noticed since I’ve moved in on my own and had different trades people coming in. You can tell instantly that Citywide Gas (a family run business) are not about trying to get every last penny from you and they genuinely do care and want to help if they can. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thanks for all your help so far, it’s appreciated so so much.

Competent and Honest traders are increasingly rare. John at Citywide Gas has been servicing our boiler for years, and is our preferred contractor. Fast and honest, he always tries to resolve the boiler problem *such as a drop in pressure by pressing a button, if this resolves the issue. He also instructs us on how we can press the button ourselves, instead of calling him and before suggesting a new boiler is installed as most others 'boiler engineers' try to do. Thank you John.

I have found John to be reliable and polite. Although he is very busy, he is very hard working and will make a huge effort to help out and get the work done on time.

Delighted to use and recommend these guys, who came out on a Saturday at short notice when most others were saying they were tied up til New Year. Our Baxi combi boiler was not giving hot water and then made a horrid grating moose and the temp reading flying up to over 90 and back down as it tried to fire up. I assumed the pump had failed and fully expected a hefty bill, but they thought this was a one-off caused by a dip in pressure, as once set to the right pressure, it worked fine. They then checked all the combustion levels, essentially giving it a service and were happy with what seemed like a token cash payment, we’ll under what I would expect to pay for a weekend call out fee. Both guys who showed up were friendly, informative and refreshingly honest. Highly recommended!
