Cracks and holes in the lead flashings were sealed and repaired. Coping stones were recemented. Broken slates were replaced. Leaking cast iron gutters were stripped, cleaned resecured and sealed. All gutters were cleared.
I was recommended Mr Kay by a neighbour. The service provided was second to none. They remained at my property until all the work was completed. I will be approaching Mr Kay for any and all future roofing maintenance and would thoroughly recommend him to anybody.

We had damage to our roof caused by Storm Arwen. After being let down by our insurance company I tried to find roofers to fix the damage. We left messages with various firms who never returned our calls and a company who said they would look at the damage but never turned up. I found W H Kay on the Trusted Trader website. David spoke to us about the damage, gave us a quote for the work and fixed the damage within a week. The work included removing and replacing a damaged ridge cap and reinforcing clips. He returned our phone calls and emails and turned up when he said he would. We are very pleased with the work and would definitely recommend him.

Following storm Arwen in November 2021, we suffered damage to the pantiles on our roof. In several places, tiles had been displaced and broken and there were gaps allowing ingress of rain.
At very short notice considering the widespread damage in the area, David and Alan Kay arranged to come and check the roof and repair where possible.
This they did and spent several hours up ladders removing broken tiles and replacing those with salvaged tiles.
We have now used the company over many years for various tasks and have found them to be excellent workers and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Our kitchen roof was in a bad state after storm Arwen. A neighbour recommended David so I rang him on the Sunday lunchtime fully expecting to get a voice mail since I recognised demand for roofers would be massive! David answered, discussed the damage and after I mailed photos had sent me a quote by mid afternoon - amazing given the circumstances. Even better was he rang me on the Monday morning to say his first job he'd had to cancel as there was no power so he was on his way. Really efficient and will do their very best to help you out. They came and promptly fixed the broken parts with much better quality materials and did a thorough inspection and fixed any other damaged parts. Definitely keeping this number in my phone book and would recommend to anyone needing roofer/builder.

They helped us out when companies would not, giving us a realistic time frame for the work and has essentially gone above and beyond to sort out what was required.

Remove and replace rotten lintel. Strip back portion of roof to repair gully. Clear gutters, check over house roof and make a small repair.

The work had been booked in earlier this year. David kept in touch about timescales for them coming to do the work. They arrived when they said they would and carried out the work to a high standard. The work area was cleared of all debris. Friendly professional service. I highly recommend them.

Our pantile roof was overhauled and repaired as required. Some additional work arose on investigation and they were happy to attend to that while on the job. They did a good job and were careful with the building (newly decorated). Some tiles were replaced or cut, gutters cleaned, fascia board repaired and colour matched pointing applied as necessary. They were recommended to us by friends and we have similarly recommended them to others.

All work caried out as expected, job left very clean and tidy. Company easy to contact and deal with, they discussed what was to be done and were always ready to change anything or to look at alternatives.

Remove broken guttering from Conservatory and replace with new to match existing. In addition, grind out old cement on front roof, repoint with colour mixed waterproof material.

WE approached W. H. Kay at a time when they were being asked to do a lot of work and so could not carry out our job until spring 2022. However, they said if it was possible they would come before that. This is what they did. It was timely because shortly afterwards there was a spate of very wet weather.

Work carried was to replace the rotten part of a guttering fascia board above sheds at a communal development. Guttering removed, new section of fascia board fitted, then guttering re-fitted including re-sealing and re-setting to provide better drainage angle. Work carried out on the agreed date and time and to the complete satisfaction of the residents.

Alan completed some excellent work in fixing my guttering and loose roof slates. He carried out all the work quickly and efficiently explaining different aspects of the job and giving me various options of how he could fix the problems and the costs of these options. He organised for another tradesman to attend to do some rendering work and everything was completed to a great standard. He also made all the arrangements for the scaffolding to be erected and dismantled.
Alan was excellent at communicating with me by phone or email and I would highly recommend him.

We asked WH Kay to quote for adding a side access door to our standalone garage to save opening the up & over door every time I wanted a screw driver from my tool box.
Alan arrived to give as quote when he said he would, gave us a start date and carried out the work accordingly, leaving their work area clean & tidy.
The door had a slight manufacturing problem problem which they took ownership of and that is now satisfactorily rectified.
Alan & his brother were a pleasure to deal with and I would confidently recommend them as a Trader to be Trusted.
