Investigation and repair of roof leak tracking to bedroom ceiling. Following identification of the source, rotten felt and tiling battens were replaced with new and all moss and debris cleared from tiles, joints and gutter.

WH Kay has been my ‘go to’ for a number of years. Despite being extremely busy, David responded promptly to my call for help. David and Alan kept me informed as they worked to identify the problem with my roof, clearly explained what they found and even provided before and after photos. Investigation and repair of a roof leak which was causing water ingress in my house. David and his brother were prompt, kept me informed throughout their investigations and explained what they had found. And then they repaired it, with no issues since.

The original estimate was acceptably accurate, so although the final cost was a little higher this was reasonable given the extra time required to source the problem. And this was explained so there were no surprises.

Sealed roof vent tile and cracks in ridge tile cement.

This is the second time they have worked on the house first time they repointed the roof, this time the gutters were cleaned and 2 broken tiles were replaced on the roof.

They are friendly and respectful when talking with them, knowledgeable and thorough with their work, when they finish they take all their rubbish with them leaving the place tidy.

Successfully dealing with various internal and external maintenance problems.

The brothers carried the following work on our property:

1. Replacing and securing roofing slates.
2. Trimming two internal doors; and repairing damage to one of them.
3. Tightening the front door threshold.
4. Clearing excess silt from external gulleys.

All the work was carried out to a high standard, and we would have no hesitation in using their services again.

Replacement and securing of fallen cowls.
The Kays come as promptly as possible, are reliable workers and are good communicators.

We've been having our windows replaced over time, as and when we can afford to do it. This time we had our patio door replaced. The work was finished to a high standard within the day. All the facings are very neatly finished, mitres are perfect. The external finish is neat and tidy too. The UPVC door seems to be a high standard and we're very happy with it; a big improvement over the door that was replaced - we noticed the difference in the warmth in the house the first evening. After the work was completed all the rubbish was taken away and the work area cleaned and vacuumed. David is great to deal with - we'll continue to work with W H Kay for our window and roof repairs as well as any other building jobs around our home.

David did some pointing work for us and, unlike several other roofing companies contacted, turned up and carried out the work. In addition the pointing blends in well with existing pointing unlike some done on our neighbours’ roofs. So we are very pleased with the work and will definitely contact David again for roof repairs.

Rotten wood at bottom of a pair of french doors. David and Alan cut out rotten wood and inserted new . All given a coat of preservative and left ready for painting. Very tidy workers and removed all waste leaving my property clean and tidy.

Remove loose felt from gutters and supply and fit rigid gutter tray under tiles.
Supply and apply sealant into cracks in render around house.
