First class. Their engineers turn up when they say they will, know their job, work till the tasks are finished and tidy up after themselves. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who asked me.

This trader carried out a basic plumbing repair to my WC. Half an hour after the plumber left there was water all over the floor. There is no out of hours number for this firm so from 4.30 on Friday until 8.30 on Monday it is not possible to contact them to tell them of a problem. We had no WC for 5 days. The fault was fixed simply by putting in a seal that should have been there in the first place. In contacting the firm to query whether any discount had been applied to the invoice they clarified that did not charge for the second visit but the flatly refused to accept that there had been anything wrong with the work carried out the first time. No apology for inconvenience. No discount. Most annoying the refusal to admit that a mistake was made. Very poor customer service and sloppy work.

A prompt and efficient service was provided.
The emergency was rectified in 15 minutes.

I have used this company several times now. They are so reliable and turn up when they say they will. The quality of their work is second to none and their prices are very acceptable.
As an older user, it is reassuring that the engineers are dressed in work clothes showing the name of the company. From experience, I know, they will do everything possible to assist the customer in an emergency.

I phoned and spoke to a Mr McGregor at 08.30 and he was so lovely and supportive on the phone and I had everything arranged with him in minutes. I always hate phoning trade companies as it’s an area I don’t really know and It’s always been something my ex dealt with but I can honestly say that I have never felt so confident and comfortable knowing that I had left my mum and son in the hands of your company. Mr McGregor took all my stress away by dealing with my mini emergency so promptly and actually made me feel like i was a valued customer (even though I had only spoken to him for the first time and for 5 minutes).

Anyway I just wanted to say thank you - you made my life a whole lot easier that day and one of your engineers had fixed my leaking water mains by noon that same day.

J&E MacGregor have carried out 2 projects for us this year - the renewal of our central heating system, including pressure tank, radiators and all pipework, and the installation of a new bathroom. Both projects were priced competitively and carried out by experienced, courteous tradesmen, and both were delivered to a high standard within the agreed timescales. Highly recommended.

New radiators and a new combi boiler had to be fitted and pipework for gas and water had to be replaced under existing wooden flooring. Turned out to be a more complex job than was anticipated, but with the assistance of a skilled joiner who carefully cut a few hatches and almost invisibly replaced the flooring the heating engineers of MacGregor did a great job. We highly recommend this company.

Having used the company before I had no hesitation in going back to them when I needed to replace my boiler. I found them to be extremely friendly as well as being very reliable, punctual and clean and tidy.

J &E MacGregor has carried out several jobs in my property. Service has always been reliable and workmanship of good quality.

However to charge circa £178 for a straightforward supply and fit of an outside tap is vastly overpriced, including circa £58 for material.

I asked J & E MacGregor Plumbing & Heating to replace a macerator after another plumber registered in the Trusted Trader website repeatedly failed to keep his words and didn't do any follow-ups.
J & E MacGregor Plumbing & Heating gave me a detailed quote and they were very flexible on their works.
On the day of the work, the plumber was very pleasant and cleaned up the area the macerator was replaced.
I'm very happy with their work and definitely ask them another work in future.

On first meeting Alan to get a quote for a new bathroom suit he explained everything clearly. Plumber always turned up on time and got the job done in the timeframe advised in the quote. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful throughout. There were a couple of minor problems and these were dealt with quickly and in a professional manner. I would highlight recommend and would use J&E MacGregor again.

I asked J and E MacGregor for a quote to refurbish my bathroom and cloakroom.

From start to finish they were reliable (yes, they turned up when they said they would - every time!), polite, trustworthy, as clean and tidy as they could be under the circumstances and extremely flexible.

They did a great job of project managing the refurbishments and both works have been finished to a high quality.
