My boiler developed a fault late on Friday night. I contacted Iain first thing on Saturday morning and - despite having personal family commitments of his own - he took the trouble to call me back and talk me through a temporary fix for the boiler. He wouldn’t take a penny for doing it. I’ve got a three year old son who is staying with me this evening and it would have been a disaster if I didn’t have any hot water or central heating. I honestly can’t thank him enough and definitely will use and recommend him in the future.

From my initial request for a quote for a new boiler to installation last year and the first service this month, the whole experience has been first class. Iain and Cain are two charming, personable guys who both do an excellent job. It was an absolute pleasure to have Cain install the boiler. He’s hard working, polite,gets on with the work and is exceptionally tidy. Just a joy.

Communications are timely and very much appreciated. If there are unexpected delays, which has been rare, the engineer texts well in advance. I had no heating or hot water on a cold Saturday in January. I have a Scottish Gas Homecare contract but their engineers were on strike and I was told to call a local trader. Edinburgh Heating we’re unable to come out to fix the problem, but kindly talked me through on the phone how to reset my boiler. I had both heating and hot water in minutes. Friendly, competent service. Would recommend.

Edinburgh Heating installed my central heating boiler about 6 years ago and have done the annual maintenance service ever since. They have been reliable and I've had no problems.
They also responded quickly to emergency call outs, with an earlier boiler, which they hadn't installed.
They provide a friendly, professional and reliable service.

I contacted Iain through Facebook initially, which he followed up with a phone call. He came to view the work required and did the job there and then!! Very tidy installation of a 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat with advice and recommendation for some further work. Absolutely would recommend and will be the first person I call for any further work!

Our 40 year old system died the first day snow fell in Spring ‘18.
Trying to find someone to replace it was a frustrating experience; our listed building was treated like a modern house and they couldn’t cope with the solid flagstone floors; they told us we must get rid of the hot water tank and must have this or that boiler - it was what they used; they had a solution they tried to impose on us … even if they even bothered to come and take a look.

Eventually, I found Edinburgh Heating and Iain’s approach was totally different.
He listened to our needs and wants.
He took time to understand the building and our needs designing a system that would deliver exactly what we wanted.
What’s more he delivered it on time and it has now been running perfectly and our gas bill has dropped and the house is the warmest it has ever been – all day.

Iain’s calculations showed that the old micro-bore system could never have delivered the heat we wanted – even when it was new.
His pipework, which you can’t see is a work of art.
His team were careful, clean and tidy.

The aluminium radiators deliver a different type of heat.
The boiler is better built and designed than the ‘Brands’ others were offering and that we’d had previously.
The titanium water tank specified supplies scalding water instantly and is so well lagged it stays hot all day.
When we found the mains water pressure too low, Iaine simply added an American made accumulator to the system. No drama whatsoever.
The WiFi control is brilliant and works.
Edinburgh Heating is not your average discount installer – but they are bespoke and deliver more and care about everything they do.
Real knowledge, skill and customer based.

Very pleased with service of central heating boiler

I’ve just had a new Valiant boiler fitted and re-sited from my kitchen to a cupboard which involved installing new pipe work, both internally and externally, removing the old boiler and the tank in the attic so a fairly involved job. From my initial enquiry with Heather in the admin dept (very friendly) to installation by Cain, the whole process and experience has been seamless, stress free and extremely efficient. The communication was excellent too.
The installer Cain was an absolute star and a delight to have in my home. He worked hard, was considerate, polite and very, very tidy. Just an all round lovely guy.
Iain, Cain and Heather are just a great team to deal with and I can’t sing their praises high enough.
If you’re looking to have boiler work done, DO NOT hesitate using this fabulous company. 10/10.

I have been using Iain's services for a few years now. He serviced my old boiler, installed my new one and recently carried out it's first service. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. He is reliable, knowledgeable, committed and just a really nice guy.
