Edinburgh Heating provides a full range of services to central heating and hot water systems throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.
We are Gas Safe registered, and have been well reviewed for our quality of work both on Trusted Trader and other sites.
We are Advanced installers for Vaillant boilers, one of the best on the market. German engineering and proven reliability.
We are also Platinum Installers for the Intergas brand of boilers from Holland where they are the market leader and for good reason too. We believe their boilers represents a significant step forward in design, with less moving components inside they are more reliable, more efficient and more cost efficient than traditional boilers.
We are also accredited to install the Nest learning thermostat as one of their pro installers. The Nest thermostat learns your routines and ideal temperatures and then quietly goes about it's business of keeping your home at the perfect temperature while saving you money.

I used Iain to replace a central heating pump that 4 other plumbers had said couldn't be replaced. Iain obviously knows his business much better than they do. He had the job done in next to no time.

We chose Edinburgh Heating from three estimates to replace our 15-year-old combi boiler in October 2015. The three quotes were very much on a par, but Iain Clarke got the work because he took the time and trouble to make a separate visit to check the gas pressure in our property, and this enabled him to fit a larger boiler more suitable for our future plans. Both his competitors just recommended smaller boilers with a more limited water flow .
Having recommended the most appropriate boiler, he installed it with great efficiency, overcoming logistical problems with a lot of ingenuity and no fuss. We were impressed with all aspects of his work and reckon we got great value for our money.
We would recommend him wholeheartedly to all.

Emergency This morning (Sunday) Water flooding out of boiler. Had to shut main water valve to house to stop flood. Contacted Edinburgh Heating and spoke to Iain who was extremely helpful. He diagnosed the fault over the phone, talked me through isolating the hot water from the boiler to the taps. Now I have heating, water to the house. Emergency averted and now have time to arrange repair to the boiler so that I can have hot water taps again.

Very efficient with texts and emails to arrange time. I received a text 10 or so minutes before arrival before both visits. A huge help…
Fault found with the boiler ( we were aware something was faulty) but boiler was left so we could still use it and part was sourced and fault fixed within a few days.

Very pleased with continued annual service. Ian and Cain provided great support with an issue earlier in the year - prompt and dedicated help.
So lovely to have a warm house these last 7 years compared with the previous very outdated system - not supplied by EH. Ian knew exactly the system for our old home.

I had a boiler gas leak and an initial engineer was unable to solve the problem, insisting a joiner would be needed to remove and rebuild the surrounding unit first to gain access. A friend recommended Iain and he called back the same day, arranged to come out the next and was able to quickly fix the leak without any additional work required. Was a relief someone was able to fix it so quickly without it becoming a bigger job. Great guy and highly recommended.

We have used Edinburgh Heating since 2021 when they installed a new vaillant gas boiler and they have serviced it annually. We have been very pleased with them. Communication has been excellent, the work has been carried out efficiently and tidily. They are a family company and show a high level of care towards their customers.

my boiler decide to go on strike so I contacted shona at Edinburgh heating and she arranged for ian to come and have look at the culprit. Ian quickly found the ailment and pointed me in the right direction to resolve the problem, I found him to be professional and FAIR will be using his services if needed again in the future thanks again folks. kind regards john

Needed all my downstairs radiators replaced and a mag filter installed for the boiler. Iain was friendly and helpful going over the work required and setup a convenient installation date for me. The work was carried out by Cain who delivered fantastic customer service and done a great job of the install. I would definitely use EH again and recommend them to anyone. Amazing service all round.

Iain came out just before christmas, our boiler broke as he was finishing his last shift before the holidays but he still came out at 8pm. We have a newborn and just prior to her being born my partner lost her job so finances have been extremely tight. As well as doing the call out so late he did not charge us for the work he had to do. NOt only was the work amazing he restored my faith in humanity.
