Derek Christie Plumbing and Heating Ltd is a family run plumbing and heating business who have been in the plumbing and heating industry for over 35 years. We specialise in design and installation of bathrooms, gas boiler installations, full central heating installations, all plumbing and heating projects, from leaking pipes to full bathroom refurbishments.
When under-taking any project we know this can be a stressful time, therefore, you can be rest assured that we will treat your property with the utmost respect as it is our standard practice to place dust sheets and leave all jobs clean and tidy.

Shower leak investigated and fixed, shower door removed, tiles stripped and everything replaced. Multiple old radiators replaced with new including some plumbing adjustments to suit new metric sizes. Boiler serviced. Solar hot water system fixed and re-commissioned. Derek was polite, helpful when asked to do additional work, good at communicating through the Covid lockdown ( he started work before and finished work after lockdown) and his work was of a high standard. Clearly a trader who cares about the quality of his work and ensuring he does a thorough job to the satisfaction of his customers. Would definitely use again and have no hesitation recommending him.

Called Derek to fix a cistern that was overflowing. He was reliable, punctual, did a great job and tidied up afterwards. I always appreciate when someone offers to remove their shoes (or put shoe covers on) on coming into the house, and he did that. Would definitely use again and happy to recommend.

We have had Derek complete a full re fit of the main bathroom 18months ago and in Jan this year we had our small toilet re fitted. Derek is very professional, conscientious, reliable, tidy and keeps you updated at all times. Both jobs completed to a high standard and on time. We have already referred family and they are happy with their completed bathroom as well.

I had new steel bath fitted and flooring replaced which had been water damaged
The work required carefully removing other sanitary ware and cabinet and putting them back. All done with care without damaging the existing tiling. Derek’s customer focus , manner and expertise were all reassuring so we have already recommended him to a friend

Replacement Boiler. Initially came to inspect existing boiler and gave impartial advice and guidance. This is the second time Derek has undertaken work for us. At all times punctual, professional and work carried out within the time planned. When work completed all areas left tidy. Initial estimate was slightly higher than others but chose to go ahead because of previous positive experience, final costs were less than anticipated and reflected in bill. Would definitely recommend.

Derek came as promised to fix my leaking shower box, which was actually connected initially by different plumbers. Those didn't show interest to come back and fix the problems, so I was forced to call Derek, who saved me from further troubles, and charged very small amount. Also as a person Derek is pleasant to talk to, he is polite and educated. Definitely would recommend his services ❤️

Very reliable, pleasant.
He installed a new combi boiler and floor standing shower. All was first class, left clean and tidy and instructed me on how to use them (i am 85) with patience.
Derek has a friendly manner.

Anticipating a necessarily stressful time, I was very happy with the friendly approach of Derek Christie and his team.
Derek and I had discussed what I wanted of a 'new' bathroom. He took my opinions on board and made helpful suggestions. I felt fully involved in the design process and was confident of the result. The work progressed well and with a friendly atmosphere.
I am absolutely delighted with my new bathroom. Small though it is, it is bright and beautiful. Derek also created more storage space without making the room seem crowded. Visitors have been impressed, and one, a joiner, gave it the 'wow' factor! The team swept up every night and I was always left with a clean bathroom.
I could not praise Derek Christie enough!

I had problems with my central heating as several radiators were not getting hot. I contacted Derek and he came out to discuss a solution and quickly submitted a quote to have the system power flushed.
This has made a huge difference and and now all the radiators are heating up evenly as they should.

We are so pleased with the work Derek and his team did on our two bathrooms and would recommend him very highly.

The work required was a total refit of our bathroom including all tiling and plumbing and prepare the additional toilet floor and bathroom floor ready for fitting vinyl. Derek and his team were very punctual, professional, pleasant, friendly and very tidy!
Derek did a fantastic job of the bathroom and a number of other extra tasks such as to redirect the bathroom water supply to the main water supply from a roof tank, fit new taps in the toilet and fit some of the bathroom accessories with the end result exceeding our expectations.
All the work was carried out efficiently and properly and within the planned timescales.
We are delighted with our new bathroom and would not hesitate to recommend Derek to anyone thinking of having similar work done.

We had our downstairs bathroom completely gutted and redone. As others have said it's been an absolute pleasure to deal with Derek. He's so professional, polite, calm and just such a lovely man. The work was done to a very high standard and we are absolutely delighted. Not only would be recommend Derek we are hoping to use him again to redo our family bathroom. Nothing is too much trouble. He was so tidy, explained everything that was going on and at times when there were a few hiccups along the way, he remained calm and reassured us that it all be fine and sorted one way or another. We can't thank him enough for the service we received from start to finish.
