Derek Christie Plumbing and Heating Ltd is a family run plumbing and heating business who have been in the plumbing and heating industry for over 35 years. We specialise in design and installation of bathrooms, gas boiler installations, full central heating installations, all plumbing and heating projects, from leaking pipes to full bathroom refurbishments.
When under-taking any project we know this can be a stressful time, therefore, you can be rest assured that we will treat your property with the utmost respect as it is our standard practice to place dust sheets and leave all jobs clean and tidy.

The work we had done was the total refit of our bathroom and second toilet. Derek and his team did a fantastic job in helping us make the right design decisions at the start in order to get a bathroom that not only met our needs but was also way better looking than we could ever have imagined. The work was carried out efficiently and properly with the utmost professionalism and friendliness from start to finish and caused less disruption and time than we had anticipated. We are delighted with our new bathroom and would not hesitate to recommend Derek to anyone thinking of having similar work done.

Derek was very helpful to me when I was planning to replace all my radiators, relocating some, with very reliable advice.
He always was on time, and tidied up meticulously every day.
His work was excellent, and he coordinated easily with the painters & decorators!
I will need him again soon for bathroom work, & probably a new boiler.

We found Derek via the Trusted Trader website, we could not be happier to find him. Very professional, highly skillful, very clean afterwards, and competitive on costs. We looked for several other companies, but they requested a ridiculous amount of money for just a shower installation in a bath, which according to them would take 3-5 days to be done. Derek did in 6 hours! The details and the diligence to carry on the job was quite impressive. I would recommend him without hesitation, and I hope he could find a spot in his busy calendar to fix other things in our bathrooms.

We were so pleased with Derek, my 89 year old mothers heating broke (during winter) and he was able to come the next day after only being phoned the previous evening. He was really busy but came after his current job (outwith normal working hours) just to ensure that she wasn't without heat. When he did arrive he was brilliant with us and very reasonably priced. Overall we intend to use him again and would recommend him to anyone!

Replace bathroom heated towel rail and also a new sink tap. Very happy to go 5 star rating and to recommend Derek. Everything went to plan with no issues. Derek also did work for us last year removing an old walk in shower unit and tiling and then fitting bath with shower head and wall panels. Obviously very happy with his work then as well. Our family also use Derek for plumbing and heating work.

Derek upgraded our bathroom and removed the bath and installed a walk in shower. He fitted new w.c and basin along with new bathroom furniture.
The flooring was replaced and ceiling panels fitted. He arranged the plastering and electrical work for us.
A very professional and tidy worker who cleared up and removed all the rubbish.
Derek is highly recommended by us and the standard of his work is first class

I contacted Derek to refurbish my main bathroom and was very happy with the whole experience!
Derek gave us great ideas and advice on products from tiles to furniture giving us plenty of time to choose what we liked.
Great communication with daily emails/messages about the status of the job.
The way they worked was always very clean and tidy and didn't cause any inconveniences in our daily lives.

We decided to completely renovate our bathroom as the previous job was DIY by previous owner so not really v good. Derek quoted a reasonable price and we had seen his work done at a friends round the corner so were happy to use his services. The renovation was great and there were a couple of issues (related to products supplied, not Derek's skills) that were sorted quickly by him. Neighbours even commented that they didn't hear too muich noise so have engaged him for work aswell! I would definately recommend Dereks bathroom renovation services!

Due to several ongoing problems Derek fitted a new hot water cylinder in a cramped & dirty attic space, upgrading us to an unvented (mains pressure) system.
He coordinated a small team to provide electrical, joinery & plumbing services as required, leaving a very clean & tidy installation which was vastly superior to the original. Work was completed with minimal disruption, under (a very reasonable) estimated cost and ahead of time.
Racking my brain to find negatives I can only say that his phone sometimes sent duplicate messages!
A first-class tradesman I would confidently recommend to anyone.
