We specialise in design and installation of bathrooms, gas boiler installations, full central heating installations, all plumbing and heating projects, from leaking pipes to full bathroom refurbishments.
When under-taking any project we know this can be a stressful time, therefore, you can be rest assured that we will treat your property with the utmost respect as it is our standard practice to place dust sheets and leave all jobs clean and tidy.

Derek and his team almost entirely overhauled my bathroom, retiling the walls and floor, plastering the ceiling, and replacing the bath while retaining the sink and toilet. Everything was completed to a high standard. There was a problem about the grout's staining the tiles; Derek put in an excellent effort to fix this.
Derek was very friendly and easy to work with. He did a great job of guiding me through the whole process.

After discovering a water escape in our flat, Derek came by promptly to assess the issue. Within a few days, he arranged for his team to remove the shower skirt, identify the cause, and fix the problem. Derek was professional, reassuring, and clear throughout the process. The work was completed efficiently and we’ve had no further issues since. I’d happily recommend him.

Derek has supplied and installed underfloor heating throughout our house along with fitting 3 bathrooms and a host of other work that was needed throughout the project.
I couldn't recommend highly enough. Nothing was a problem, if an issue came up (as there is always going to be with a job of this size) then he came to us with solutions and options rather than the problem.
Tidied up as he went, arrived when he said he would and kept in touch to make sure if anything came up I was aware.

Derek completed a fully fitted new bathroom in my tenement flat recently. The work included tearing out the existing bathroom, replastering most of the room, installing tiles, panelling as well as a new bath, shower and toilet. Derek arranged this all and recommended a painter. All work was completed to a high standard. Derek was careful in the building, accommodating and supportive when we needed to make a last-minute change to the panelling. Derek's attention to detail is excellent, I was very pleased with the finishing work, particularly given that the angles in the space weren't even. Excellent job!

Derek recently completed a full refurbishment of my bathroom. He was very easy to deal with and kept me well up to date. He was friendly and professional and him and his team were very hard working. He answered all my questions and provided advice on things I was unsure of. The refit was a very smooth process and that was all down to Derek. I'm very pleased with how everything turned out and wouldn't hesitate to use him in the future / recommend him to others.

The team turned up when they said they would, were always polite and courteous, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each working day. The work was performed to a very high standard.

I had a fantastic experience with Derek. I had a quote within a matter of days from picking each product and was delighted to have a date in the diary just over a month later.
Derek is professional and polite, each day after he left everything was tidy and hoovered.
My bathroom is absolutely beautiful, better than I imagined and completed in just 3 days.

Derek managed everything smoothly and organised the tiler and plasterer.

Great job to replace faulty gas boiler. Derek stayed late to fix a leak
under the bathroom which was causing pressure problems with the shower.
Shower is now working the best it has in years.

Derek Christie was recommended to us. He has completely refurbished our bathroom including ripping out old bathtub, toilet, wash basin, wall panels and flooring. These were replaced with new pipework for stand in shower, new wiring for led lights and exhaust humidistat, new wall panelling, new flooring and tiles, new heated towel rail, new stand in shower and new toilet suite.
He did all this to perfection with an eye for detail and very high standards. Very reliable, trustworthy, concientious and both he and his managed team worked hard to deliver the project on time. The work area was scrubbed and left spotless and clean at the end of each day of work.
Derek has a very vast experience in Plumbing, heating, and refurbishment jobs and he adapted and applied this in detail professionally and almost artistically to transform our bathroom into a stunning fresh new space. Derek came to rectify works that had been done through an Adaptation Grant with City of Edinburgh Council to change bathroom into wet room. He resolved all of the issues I had with the toilet, sink and shower pump. He was skilfully able to problem solve the issues and rectify them. Excellent communication via text/phone. Always on time, clean and tidy at all times. Very clear on the work he was proposing. This is the fourth time I’ve asked Derek to do work for me. All jobs have been completed to excellent standards. I would have no hesitation in recommending Derek to you.

I contacted Derek regarding the repair of a leaky toilet cistern. Derek is a highly reliable trader, approachable, conscientious and punctual. He provided an excellent service with great attention to details and very good communication throughout the process. Derek has been my go-to plumber for seven years, and has done multiple jobs for me, a couple of which were urgent, and most of which were a bit tricky in one way or another. I have no hesitation in recommending him. He , gives great advice, explains things very clearly and gives clear timescales for the work while charging very reasonable prices. He is fast but meticulous, and recently returned spontaneously to check that a leak had not recurred - what other plumber does that?

Derek refitted my en-suite bathroom for me; taking out the old bathroom suite, removing tiles and wallpaper from the walls and fitted a new bathroom suite and furniture. He also retiled the walls and tiled the bathroom floor. In addition Derek increased the water pressure by repairing/altering the boiler and moved a couple of radiators in the bedrooms. The work was carried out to a very high standard within the planned work schedule, at a very reasonable price. Derek has done work for me previously and I have recommended Derek to friends who have also been very happy with the excellent service he provides.
