L & E Roofing Contractors

We've been using L&E for many years and recently had Colin and his team carry out re-slating the roof and re-felting the flat roof. They did an excellent job, were punctual, hard working and extremely pleasant to deal with. Not only did they carry out the work professionally and competently but they cleared up everything afterwards. Many thanks to Colin, Dylan and the rest of the team.

Used L&E roofing for the second time after a great repair previously.

Came out and quoted swiftly for myself and also my in laws, was honest and said we would need to wait a little bit as he was busy (understandable when they provide a good service). Job complete this morning on my own home and in laws and both happy with completed job. If we have any further issues L&E roofing would be my first port of call and I would recommend them to any one else as well!!

Colin replied to my enquiry promptly and courteously.He also agreed to carry out our gutter cleaning at short notice due to my concerns. The work was carried out safely and efficiently by Colin and his colleague and they advised me of the importance of regular future maintenance in a supportive and friendly manner.I was also happy with the price charged.

Pigeon spikes were added to areas that had not been done by a previous contractor.
Removed 3 nests and guano on tiles.
Cleaned gutters.
Replaced slates.
Changed gulleys which were rotten.

I had seen work carried out by L&E Roofing on a house nearby and through all stages the work looked good so when my chimney roughcast needed repair I contacted Colin. His response with the estimate was very quick and efficient. He always kept me fully informed of each stage of work from scaffolding, materials and job progress. The men turned up on time, worked hard, kept the site tidy and finished off the chimney roughcast to a high spec. The site was all cleaned up and scaffolding removed soon after. All in all I am delighted with the work and will call Colin again if more roof work required. Thanks to all his team.

L&E roofing were recommended to ourselves after doing a job for another family member. Came out very quickly and quoted, we excepted the quote which was good value for money.
Attended this morning and one word “Amazing”. Guys were polite and fixed a leak we had and also sorted a job not done very well by a previous roofer. If I require a roofer in the future I will be contacting L&E and also will highly recommend them to family and friends. Thank you Colin and all of your guys.

My Mother had multiple issues with her roof, and had tried another Company on several occasions, without success. Colin was recommended to us and he reluctantly took on the corrective work which resulted in a completely new roof having to be installed to ensure that it was fit for purpose. Having tried in vain to rectify the existing roof, Colin took into account this failed remedial work when quoting for the larger job. Derek, Dylan and the team carried out the works during a period of mixed weather and I was sent photos of the work as it was completed - excellent Communication and meant I didn’t have to be present throughout the works. Thanks also to Maryann who was very efficient and helpful any time we had to contact the office.

Would definitely recommend and use again should the occasion arise.

Colin and Derek did a great job replacing and painting all guttering very reasonably priced. Easy to communicate with and cleared up after themselves. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others

We had an excellent service from Colin, Derek and Derek of L & E Roofing from initial enquiry through to completion of the work of quite a large roof repair. All emails were answered the same day, the estimate was very detailed and Colin gave us a daily update, with photos, of the work as it progressed. All the workmen were friendly, helpful and arrived on time/as stated. The area was left tidy and clean at the end of each day. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and indeed intend to take out their maintenance service contract.

From initial contact with Colin to the completion of the work, we’ve been delighted with the high level of customer service and excellent workmanship.
The roofers turned up when they said they would. If there was any change of plan, Colin always let us know. On site we had no complaints at all. The roofers were polite, hard working and friendly. We’d certainly have no hesitation in recommending L&E Roofing Contractors.

Over the last five years, since moving into the house, I have had the extension re-slated, the flat roofs of the garage and bay windows re-felted, a velux installed in the loft, repair work done on the main roof and chimneys, the 1930s garden pavilion re-shingled and twice a year maintenance checks carried out, which have identified genuine problems (e.g. with patches of harling) which would have become very much worse had they not been dealt with extremely efficiently and quickly. I have been consistently happy with L&E Roofing - the speed with which calls are responded to (e.g. after damage caused by high winds) is really quite something, and the personalised quality of the service-provision is outstanding.

After high winds some ridge tiles had come loose and we needed all the ridge tiles checked as we were unhappy with previous work by another roofer.
Colin came promptly and discussed the job, advising that all the ridge needed removed, old mortar cleaned off and then reattached.
His quote seemed reasonable.
Work commenced a few weeks later (it had been stormy so he was very busy)
The team of roofers were very pleasant and helpful, informing us of what was happening at every stage.
Work was completed in a few days and the team made sure the garden was cleaned up

Colin responded very quickly to our concerns about a discoloured patch on our bathroom ceiling which appeared to be damp and after careful inspection he recommended an appropriate associate to identify and resolve the issue. We would highly recommend him for his knowledge, prompt response and professionalism.

Colin and his team did a great job replacing 40+ slates on a pitch roof, repointing two skews, pointing copes and waterproofing a portion of a flat roof which had failed. The quote was extremely competitive and Colin found a way to offer days that were suitable to both me and my partner. The team was very friendly, polite and made sure we knew what was happening at different stages (clear quote, emails, pictures, conversations, etc...).
The completed work looks great, the team thouroughly cleaned the work site and were very respectful of the property. I really hope we get a chance to hire Colin's services again next time we need work done to the property. Thank you guys.

Phoned L&E roofing Contractors to come take a look at my roof problems .
I had phoned 2 other Roofing contractors to no avail!
Colin came out when he said he would and provided an emailed quote by that same evening .
The quote was very fair for the amount of work and awkwardness of job needed .
The work was done to a very high standard ( my husband is an architect ! ) we were both delighted by the service provided by L&E Roofing .

Very professional, trustworthy company - guttering replaced, roof given a service with minor repairs advised as being required (so no unnecessary work undertaken), as well as repairs to the garden wall, all at a very reasonable price. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend L & E Roofing - Colin and his team are friendly, offer good advice and do what they say they will do, when they say they’ll do it. Excellent service and value for money.

Silver cowl had to be re-situated back onto the top of the chimney after working loose in the recent storms. Also had several tiles replaced at the same time. Colin responded quickly to my emails and did the work within a couple of days which was much appreciated.
