L&E Roofing deserve their Trusted Trader status. Colin came out to see our roof exactly when he said he would, sending us the quote just a few hours later. We found him very honest and open, only quoting for what he considered absolutely needing to be done without ever trying to add on anything else.

Derek and Derek are really good at their job. Very hard working and friendly, they kept us updated all the time with what they had done and still had to do. It was never a problem to ask them anything, they were happy to explain.

We found a second leak in the roof in the period between Colin quoting us and the work being done. They found the source of this leak and re-pointed an additional ridge without adding anything to the cost.

No hesitation in recommending L&E Roofing and we would happily use them again.

Colin and his team were great. They did the work efficiently, clearing up all debris and materials afterwards.

Mary Ann who answered the phone was very kind and helpful in regards to a minor roofing issue due to the recent storms. She quickly called me back and the work was completed within an 1hr. Great workmanship with safety at a priority as it was a difficult job. Would definitely use them again and recommend them if you need work done.

A late review for a big job completed last summer. The guys completely replaced all timber fascias and fitted new guttering. Colin then identified the underlying reason for the rot - the original roof design trapped water and had started leaking as the ‘waterproof’ felt deteriorated over the years. The guys re-profiled the roof and replaced the bottom third of the sarking and felt. Colin tried to keep costs down and very clearly explained what needed to be done and what didn’t. All work was completed quickly to a high standard for a reasonable fixed price. We then got them to install two new Velux windows. That turned out to be a difficult job because of the type of tiles, but in the end they got it fixed so we were all happy. Colin gets stuck in himself (he's not a paperwork boss) and his guys are cheery hard workers, particularly if you keep them sweet with plenty of tea and biscuits... :-) They clearly know a lot about roofs and have high standards. I would absolutely recommend them, particularly if you have an awkward problem that doesn’t want to go away and you want it fixed properly.

I called L&E Roofing Contractors to get my gutters cleaned. They turned up the next day, very efficient and did a great job. Would highly recommend for any roofing jobs, big or small.

I contacted Colin to enquire if it would be possible to get an assessment after a tile fell of my roof and others looked a tad suspect. I also asked if he would look at a leaking gutter that dripped onto my conservatory roof. He responded quickly, came out to take a look within a matter of days and provided an estimate that same evening. He was professional and understanding in his assessment and assured me it was not a major issue and not to worry and he would get it done as soon as possible. His estimate was fair, his attitude and approach spot on. He carried out the work on the roof, mended the offending bit of guttering and left no mess. I would, and indeed already have recommended him to others. He has a manner that is reassuring to the older generation like myself. Gold standard in my view.

Colin and his team completed the repair to the gutters and the ridge on my house they arrived on time they were friendly and clean and tidy workers. Overall they they were very professional company and I would definitely recommend this company in the future

I had my roof repaired as there was daylight showing in my loft. I had a prompt response and estimate. The two workers were polite and efficient. I would recommend this firm and will use them again if I need more work done in the future.

Had serious leak in bedroom during bad thunder storm 2weeks ago. I phoned Colin first thing on the Monday morning he came out at lunchtime same day.He said it looked like lightning had struck the roof he showed me photos. the roof was also covered in moss. The chimney stack also needed some work because of previous bad roofers. Colin gave me an estimate for cleaning moss treating roof replacing cracked tiles fitting copper strip to prevent moss regrowth and fixing chimney stack. Price was good he phoned to say he could fit me in the next day. The two Dereks arrived next morning as arranged and worked till job was complete. Fantastic service this is the second time I have used L&E Roofing and would not hesitate to recommend this firm excellent and friendly workforce.

I had a blocked Rome pipe. Phoned Colin Monday PM. He was here this morning and fixed the blockage in a very short time. He did not even charge for the work. I would certainly use him again and recommend him to family and friends. One happy customer.

Colin was only one of the three trusted traders roofers I contacted to actually get back to me. He responded to my initial enquiry within 15 minutes and came to assess the work within 2 days. He had his team out the next week.
His team worked very efficiently and took only a few hours to do what we needed - general repointing works, replacing missing slates, clearing our gutters, replacing a broken lead flashing, repairing a leaking cast iron gutter and re sealing some edges of our flat roof. His pricing is very, very reasonable - genuine value for money. We have since approved a second quote for some additional minor building work that his team can also undertake. We hope to sell our house this year but if that doesn’t happen we’ll definitely be asking him to completely replace our flat roof. Would not hesitate to recommend him and his team.

Really small job on a leaking drainpipe which lots of tradesman might not have thought was worth their while, but Colin came out no problem. Fixed it on the spot and then even used the hosepipe to check the repair had worked. Friendly, helpful and always responds to emails. Would highly recommend.
