L&E Roofing have regulalrly provided first class roofing services for over twenty years. Initially this was on a shared tenement roof and now on a row of terraced houses + work for my in-laws communal roof. Friendly, reliable service and they frequently go the extra mile.

We are returning customers, to this company, which says a lot. The work done this time in January 2024 was a roof repair around a chimney stack (we had a leak) and we also had interlocking verges added to the gable end of the house.

Building of six flats (including a council owned flat), needing work done to roof/guttering/downpipes in response to an ESRS survey.

Colin came to give us an initial quote and visited later again in person after questions from owners in the building to give a follow-up quote for extra pieces; he wanted to see for himself rather than relying on photos I had sent, which I appreciated.

He was very flexible when it came to working with us as a group of owners and had the patience to work alongside us with the council side of things.

Once we had a scheme decision from all owners and a confirmation letter from the council, he booked us in within a week or so.
The scaffolding went up and they went to work, fixing various aspects of our roof slating, the harling in many places we'd identified, replacing the metal guttering entirely and renovating/painting the downpipes and replacing sections. During the work he sent photos of what had been done, which the council also appreciated seeing as work progressed.

Part way through the work, a comment was made that the valleys could do with treating to preserve the metal. The communication around it was a bit rushed but a small quote was given for it, we got all the owners' agreements and the work was added to the final bill and the council's application with no issues.

Through the work, his team was polite and efficient, completing a lot of work across the 3-4 weeks they were here.

Replacing slates due to weather conditions I was very pleased with the work done very polite were the men that done the work no hesitation if needed to have them here again

The garage roof was leaking into the porch and Colin noticed that the last roofer had not addressed the fact that the angle of runaway was incorrect causing a build up of rain water causing the leak over a long period of time. A quote was given for a new rubber roof to replace the old roofing felt. This felt was removed and taken away all tidied up and new roof efficiently laid in one day as promised.

Bathroom refurbishment - new velux window, new ceiling, new lights, new extractor fan. Resized basement hatch and relocation of extractor vents. The team were efficient and courteous throughout. Delighted with the work, thank you so much.

I know how difficult it can be to find quality roofers around Edinburgh especially this time of year as the demand is outstripping supply.
Their quote was reasonable, and once agreed Colin was able to book me in within a good time-frame given their backlog - so very happy about that.
The work was carried out on time and exactly as agreed, everything went smoothly without any fuss or drama. Standard of work was excellent, also the workmen were friendly and helpful, took time to answer my questions and show me what needed to be done.
Must say excellent comms throughout, kept me updated on progress with photos of the works.

L & E roofing have been maintaining our roof for over 3 years. They have recently completed a bigger job, felting the front section of our high, old roof and bay window, replacing slates and zinc ridges etc. I have found them to be extremely trustworthy, reliable and good at communicating and have no hesitation in recommending their services.

I contacted L&E roofing to fix some ridge tiles after the recent storm and to clean the gutters. Colin arrived on time and was straight to work. He was very efficient and had it all sorted without bother. Him and the team (including Maryann) were great, and very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We asked Colin to have a look at a long standing problem we've been having with water leaking into a downstairs bathroom from a balcony above. He stripped the floor of the balcony out, KC Joinery replaced the rotten joists and floor and Colin and crew re-felted on top of that. They did an excellent job, as quickly as possible, at a very reasonable price. Good communication throughout, even ensuring the skip was uplifted at the end of the job. Very happy and would definitely use again.

A couple of ridge tiles came off the roof in the bad weather between Christmas and New Year. Colin came out the same day as I phoned to have a look and provide quote. Colin kept me informed of when the men would come to do the repair. Men came as planned and were very friendly and professional. Would use again.

Colin and his team made some harling repairs to our walls after storm damage. The work is of good quality, reasonably priced and was done promptly within the agreed timetable. We're very happy with the service we received from Colin's team and would certainly use them again for any work in future.

Front of house re harled. The men who came to do the job were excellent. They updated us on progress each night until job was finished. At the end they cleaned the whole front of the house, even the downpipes. We would not hesitate to recommend

Needed a repair completed on my roof, having used Colin and his team in the past, it was an easy decision. From reaching out to job completion within 24 hours is amazing, can’t ask for much more.
