Colin was recommended to us by a close friend, and when he came to quote we realised that he'd been here 15 years before for work on the rhones. Good to get a company with a long established reputation.
We needed some repairs to valleys and chimney stack, and had some slipped slates. We also wanted our flat roof renewed before it started to cause problems, and to have some insulation panels added to try to cut our heating bills. He came back to us very quickly with a good price and was able to start work within a few weeks. The roofers were reliable and friendly, and we got daily photos from Colin of the work as it progressed (very helpful, as we can't get up there to see it for ourselves). The work was done on time and on budget - he even got the guys to fix a leaking gutter I just spotted during the works.
Only issue is the delay in getting the scaffolding down - but that's contracted to another company and they have been affected by Covid so I'm not upset about it.
We have recommended Colin to neighbours and family for other works.

Colin and the team did a roof repair to our block of flats, replacing all broken tiles, ridges, guttering, flashing etc. They also painted all new cast iron guttering and downpipes. They discovered cracked rendering on one of the chimneys which they promptly repaired. This fixed a leak which other roofers had been unable to resolve. Colin's communication and professionalism was second to none. He sent us daily updates and photos tracking the progress of the work. I am very happy with the work done by L & E Roofing and would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs roofing work done. We have finally found a reliable, trustworthy roofer!

Small repair to leaking guttering at the front of the house required. Colin responded to our initial enquiry straight away and arrived when he said he would. Friendly and helpful and completed the job in no time - without charging for the work! Would definitely use this firm again for any future work and highly recommend.

Had a leaking roof and contacted colin who was kind enough to visit the next again morning. He examined the felting and tests the drainage identifying that it was in fact a plumbing issue. Despite his time he wouldnt accept any payment instead suggesting a just leave a review.

Colin was recommended to me by a friend who also had work done so I gave him a call to see if he could help.
He was very polite and respectful of the situation, gave great advice, provided a very competitive quote, delivered the job ahead of schedule and to a level of quality well beyond what we hoped for. He even carried out some additional works without charge.

After dealing with 3 companies who did not repair the roof leak, my fault for not checking out Trusted Trader, I contacted L&E Roofing who replied quickly, came out to look at the job next day and while he was here I asked about painting the gutters and downpipes. He emailed a very reasonable quote within a few hours and fitted me into his schedule a couple of weeks later. Colin and his team are highly professional, reliable and trustworthy. A first class job and would highly recommend.

Colin and his team removed old cladding from the exterior of the house and replaced it with new. They also resolved a long standing window issue with a great fix. The work was organised and efficient and left in a tidy state. Great job and would recommend highly to anyone needing similar work.

Colin and the Dereks were brilliant from start to finish. We had an unusual half finished flat roof which needed finishing off. They weren't put off by this, gave a timely quote and fitted us in quickly. On the day the team arrived promptly and carried out the work to a high standard. Delighted with the work and would definitely recommend/use again.

The roof was cleared of moss and some gable end pointing carried out. The workmen arrived promptly each morning and worked hard all day. They were very polite and cleared up afterwards. Really happy with all aspects of the job.

I had all my gutters replaced. They guys were great. Very friendly and polite. Work was carried out quickly and well done. All waste was removed and outside area was left very clean and tidy.

L & E Roofing renewed a large flat roof, replaced my ridge, fitted vent tiles and installed uPVC trims on the front and rear roof verge.

When Colin from L & E first came to quote for the work I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Initially he quoted me for installation of a new rubber membrane on the flat roof and then subsequently for the ridge and verge. The quote was very reasonable for the work getting done.
They first came to do the flat roof which was completed over a few days. I am very happy with the quality of workmanship and with the guys that did the work.
They then came back to carry out the work on the ridge and verge. They installed a new dry ridge system which involved removal of the whole old ridge and cement work. They then explained to me that a plastic "tree" was installed onto which the new ridge tiles are fastened. Unlike the old cement fixed ridge, this should be maintenance free.
When installing the verge trims they actually spent a day putting some up which then then removed the next day as they weren't 100% satisfied with how they were sitting. I was very impressed with this as it showed their professionalism and commitment to the quality of their work.
Due to this, the work ended up taking them longer than they expected and they actually did much more than originally quoted for. I was more than happy to pay for this extra work but Colin refused to take a penny more than he had quoted.
I would have L & E Roofing back in AA heartbeat if I need anything else done!

Replacing cast iron gutters and painting facias and down pipes. Excellent job Colin and his team were very professional. I would use L & E Roffing Contractors again and would recommend his firm to anyone looking for a roofer.

Had some problems with damp in one of our bedrooms so asked L and E Roofing to take a look, turns out the whole outside wall was damp, and they identified lots of problems with the wall, parts of the roof, a chimney that need resurfacing and vegetation growing from the wall.

Couldn't be happier with the work, all of the problema above were dealt with. The work was done very quickly and the guys were very professional throughout amd we were impressed with how tidy the area was after they left each night. The nature of the problem meant that they were working in our elderly neighbours garden, and they were very respectful towards her.

Communication was excellent throughout, and there were no surprise changes to the agreed quote, so very happy with everything.

Would definately work with L and E Roofing again in the future.

I contacted Colin when some harling became loose and started falling to the ground. He arrived the next day to look at it and immediately went up on to the roof and made it as safe as possible as a temporary measure. He showed us photos of the problems and also the broken roof tiles where the harling had smashed down onto them. He sent an estimate that evening, which we accepted and agreed he would start the work asap. Unfortunately the weather quickly caused even more damage and Colin and his men arrived within a couple of days to start work. They were quick, tidy, efficient and very friendly. Colin kept us informed of the progress by email and photos each evening. They tidied up as they went along and we are extremely happy with the work. We would definately recommend them. So a very big thank you to Colin and crew at L & E Roofing.
