We have been trading for 12 years catering for domestic, commercial and industrial clients throughout Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian.
We carry out all aspects of roofing work from overhauls to total renewals and also carry out the following: New natural slate roofs, tiled roofs, chimneys, guttering, downpipes, lead and cement work.

Repairing and securing pitched roof above bay window. John responded and assessed the repair required less than 24 hours after contact, safety measures were in place the next day and repair completed by the end of the week. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Lead flashing around chimney treated and made good, Couple of broken tiles replaced.
Hopefully this has resolved a long-standing problem that other roofers had failed to diagnose and deal with.

The company visited 24 hours after contact. What I thought was a split gutter turned out to be just a blockage, saving a lot of money. Instead of estimating and returning, the company did the work on the spot, cleaned up and advised on maintenance. Efficient and courteous.

We had two chimneys removed and tiled over and a third reduced to half height. J & D had this done within four days. We've used J & D a few times and have always found the quality of the work to be great and would recommend to others. The crew always clean up after and they even helped recommend a painter to paint the chimney once completed. Really helpful and genuinely nice bunch of guys.

New car port roof, replaced leaking gutters and drain pipes. Replaced broken tiles and weeds from house roof, replaced rotten window sills and cleared blocked drains.

We have had a persistent leak through a chimney which was causing damage to the inside wall. J&D responded to our call, and assessed and attended to the work in super quick time. At the same time they have completed a thoroughly professional job, and we have full confidence that they have solved our problem. In the past we have been stung by roofers who let their profession down so it is very reassuring to have our roofing issues handled by J&D Roofing. Have used John ever since he put a new roof on the house. Every year, his men come and clean out our gutters, sweep the garage roof and take all the debris away. Service and reliability excellent, wouldn't used anyone else.

J & D came back for the second part of our roofing project, as usual on time, and, in spite of a few problems sorted everything out quickly, efficiently and had us watertight in a day. Needed a large area of flat roofing renewed and skylights fitted and having asked 3 companies to look at the job chose J & D. Absolutely the right choice. The whole job was carried out extremely well, staff were very helpful and friendly and the finished job is better than I had expected. If you need a REALLY professional company, give J & D a ring.

John and his son were outstanding. They came to sort out a leak in our roof during lockdown. All government guidance was followed on social distancing etc and they worked 100% outside. Could not have been more helpful. Thoroughly recommend.
