J & D Roofing came to check my roof for the winter and remove any debris etc. Also to cut away part of a Virginia Creeper to keep it away from the loft. The roof check revealed that some of the tiles were not properly secured and J&D dealt with this problem at the same time. Friendly and efficient and very reasonable cost.

Part of the kitchen roof and the woodwork behind the roan pipes at Cockenzie & Port Seton Chuch were badly in need of repair. J& D were asked for a quote as they have done work for the Church before. The quote was quickly given and accepted and the work carried out without any hassle or problem.

Garage leaking into porch, garage roof felt removed, rotten garage roof wood cut out and replaced. Garage roof then re-felted. Excellent team of workmen all done extremely proficiently and professionally with minimal disruption. Did have one minor issue which was rectified poste haste, complication was with porch glass panelled roof overhanging onto garage roof. So, yes would recommend.

Our flat roof has been having small leaks over the years, but then the ceiling collapsed after a storm !! So we needed a new roof.
We got these guys based on the good reviews they already had on this site, but other than that we didn't know anything about them. We got two other quotes, but John was the most thorough in his evaluation of the existing roof.
We chose them mostly because they were going to completely strip the existing roof and repair any rotten wood, etc, rather than just lay some fancy new materials on top of the old existing roof.
When they came to do the work, they arrived almost at the crack of dawn every day, and worked right through to 5pm, with only a short break for lunch. They had a plan for tackling the job in stages, but keeping the roof watertight in between stages. This was proven when we had an unforecast rain storm overnight during the work, and everything was fine.
Definitely a great team of guys, who work very well together, and do a thorough and meticulous job.
We were so happy with the house roof, we got them to do the garage as well.

Brilliant, Professional and very reasonable rates!! Having been previously stung by rogue roofers I was nervous as to what to expect after high winds moved slates. John and his Team were fabulous. Answered questions, quoted accurately, turned up on time and equipped for work, polite and the sort of people you can leave unsupervised.. We asked them for a roof health check and they didn’t hype the job at all.. I would def call them again.

J&D have done previous work for us and have again delivered a quality job which included replacement of cast iron guttering, lead work to 4 skews and a general overhaul of the roof. The team were polite, and efficient and would highly recommend them.

Following the January storms part of our church hall roof was blown away. The sheeting contained low level asbestos which frightened other roofers off.
J& D provided a competitive estimate and dealt with the asbestos issue in a fully professional way. While it took a couple of weeks for them to get the materials to fix the roof the work was done almost immediately.

My roof and ridge tiles were blown off and broken by the recent storm.
John arrived on the day and time arranged to do the work, which was completed quickly with no disturbance to my need to come and go. All debris was swept up and removed, leaving the area clean and tidy. I’m very happy with both the work done and respectful care taken to leave my area neat and tidy .
I will definitely use J&D roofers again should the need arise.

Had to have the ridge tiles replaced after the Storm. The work was discussed before hand and I was made aware what the work would entail. The lads came out a couple of days later, and worked very hard , never stopped for a break. The work was carried out well and both men were polite , friendly and efficient. Also happy to answer any questions I had. First class job done, and I'm delighted with the professional way in which everything was carried out. Cleaned everything up and left the place clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this company for any roofing repairs needing done.
