We have been trading for 12 years catering for domestic, commercial and industrial clients throughout Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian.
We carry out all aspects of roofing work from overhauls to total renewals and also carry out the following: New natural slate roofs, tiled roofs, chimneys, guttering, downpipes, lead and cement work.
J & D Roofing & Building Services excel in fitting, maintaining and replacing felt roofing, a tried and tested product that gives excellent waterproofing and still remains popular, particularly in domestic roofing.
Our clients range from owners of domestic properties to large commercial developments. We have systems suitable for all applications and budgets.

Very quick response . Very friendly .Carried out the work efficiently . Cleaned out gutter and removed debris from downpipe. Repaired union joint and water tested to finish. I will definately use the company again without hesitation.

Had roof tiles fixed and ridge tiles replaced. Very friendly and efficient service provided at a reasonable price carried out in a reasonable timescale. Would highly recommend this company and would use them again without hesitation.

Repair/sealing of joints in front elevation cast iron guttering. Purchase & installation of new metal guttering at rear of property. Painting of all guttering and downpipes. The work was completely promptly and the team were all pleasant and professional. Everything was left clean and tidy on completion. I would definitely use this company in the future.

John and his guys did an excellent job of retiling my garage roof and fixing the leaking gutters. I am very happy with the quality of the work and also the manner in which it was performed. Everything was done in a timely manner and there was absolutely no mess left behind. I would not hesitate to use JD roofing again or to recommend them to anyone who needs roof work done.

John is a first class tradesman, good quality workmanship and reasonably priced. This is the 2nd time we have used JD roofing and both jobs have been completed to a very high standard. John is reliable and honest, no jargon just good hard honest work. I have absolutely no doubts in recommending JD roofing and I certainly wouldn’t use anyone else.

We have been very impressed by J&D Roofing. They came with good recommendations from others in the village and have carried out their work in repairing our roof in a very conscientious and professional manner. We have previously suffered at the hands of other roofers where we have effectively wasted our money so we were extremely impressed with the quality of their work. We have no hesitation in recommending their services and only wish we had found them sooner!

We use J & D Roofing and Building Services to survey our flat roof every two years - a requirement of our home buildings insurance policy. Each time they have given both a verbal and written report that have been detailed and thorough, including recommendations and costings of any work that might be needed in the future and when it might be needed.

I had 2 small water leaks in my roof. Contacted J&D Roofing & Building Services who came out and quickly identified the issues. Provided me with an estimate within 48 hours and completed the job within 48 hours of me accepting their price. Left their working area clean and tidy and I would highly recommend their services.
