We were very pleased with the service from this company from visiting the showroom (very Covid safe, one in/one out system) to the fitting of our doors. The fitters were polite and courteous and were as unintrusive as possible. The work was done to a high standard, both men worked non stop. On completion of the job everything was left neat and tidy, even the glass cleaned.

From the initial meeting with the young man at their showroom to the final installation their dealing with us was exemplary. The sales rep did not pressure us and explained everything in detail. On the installation it was completed in the time scale given and cleaned up any mess behind them. We are totally pleased and highly impressed with the product and the finish. We would definitely recommend this company.

We bought new windows and doors nine and a half years ago from them. No problem whatsoever until a few days ago when one of the doors decided to remain locked and I could not get it opened no matter how I tried. I phoned Fife Windows and Doors who were extremely helpful and Mark came round, replaced the part, and fixed the door. I was perhaps expecting a bit a question about how old the doors were but no they held true to their 10 year guarantee. In addition Mark was one of the original installers and is still working for the company. I think that a great testament to them.

I'm delighted with the new door fitted by Fife Windows & Doors, from the initial quotation through to the completed job their service has been excellent. The site work undertaken by Neil was completed to the highest standards, very pleased with the outcome.

From the initial enquiry my wife and I were impressed by the sales representative's approach, not a pressure sale but an honest assessment of the situation due to covid related problems. We decided to accept Fife Windows' quotation. After acceptance of the quotation, we were surprised by how efficiently the erection of the conservatory was undertaken. All trades involved were excellent, all arriving to commence work on the agreed dates and all works completed on the agreed date.

This is the second time I have used Fife Windows and Doors. The first time we had a conservatory built - that is fabulous! No fuss with anything, everything was easy. Workmen arrived on time every day, cleaned up and left no mess and were always helpful. Now we have new windows at the front of the house that look great. As always workmen were on time, polite and left my house as they found it! Of course with great new windows. Would always tell my friends and family to give Fife Windows and Doors a call first.

New composite front door. Guide for choosing doors was good. Measurements done well. Had to wait little while to get the fitting done but we were informed about where were were in the queue. Fitting done well, within 5 hours. Quality door. They phoned me the next day to check everything was OK. We're very happy.

Conservatory roof conversion and installation of internal french doors:

Fantastic job by Fife Windows and Doors converting our conservatory roof to an Ultraframe 380 and installing internal french doors. From initial consultation with Ian Reid to installation by Davy Penman and the team, everything was exceptional. The team turned up when expected and completed the job with limited disruption. It’s turned our conservatory from a limited use space, due to heat extremes, to one of the most used rooms in the house. It looks great too. We’re very happy with the job and would recommend the company 100%.

5 Windows and 2 doors expertly installed. Professional from start to finish. Agreed what would be done at the outset, we agreed the price and date, and they delivered exactly what was agreed, on time, no fuss, no hastle, smoothe and seemless from start to end. They encoutered some problems with rotten timbers behind the old door frame, but it was no problem to them. Old timber cut out and new framing installed. Dust sheets were used throughout to minimise dirt, and the site was left clean and tidy each night.
Most importantly the two Davies (known to us as Davie twa sugars and Davie nae sugar) who did the installation, were not only clearly very skilled craftsmen, but genuinely nice guys and that made the process painless. Keep the guys provided with coffee (remember to get the sugars right) and fudge donuts, they deserve it.
Delighted with the end product, the company should be proud of these guys as they are great representatives.

We had previously used Fife Windows and Doors in 2021 to fit three new doors and a replacement porch at our house (a late Victorian cottage with modern extensions), and were pleased with the quality of their work. So when in 2023, we had a much bigger job to be carried out (31 replacement windows and two french doors!), we asked them to quote for the work.

Other independent Fife companies also provided quotes, but Fife Windows and Doors impressed us most. They listened carefully to what we asked for, then suggested alternative - and lower-cost - solutions when some of our original ideas were rather impractical. Contrast that with other companies who simply said "yes" to everything we asked for, but did not convince us that they had actually thought about our particular needs.

We could certainly have found lower prices elsewhere, but Fife Doors and Windows once again convinced us we had made the right choice. After a detailed, lengthy measuring visit, a quote was supplied, we then made a second visit to their showroom and talked through some details (resulting in a further small price saving measure proactively offered to us - how many other companies would have done that?). Then a final quotation was given - no haggling required, no "buy now and get a 10% discount" nonsense, and no deposit/advance payment required until all work was completed to our satisfaction.

We did have to wait for about three months until the installation took place (though that delay actually inspired confidence, because it showed the company was busy) but good communications throughout kept us advised of the timetable.

Having tradesmen descend on your home is always rather stressful, but this was the best experience we have ever had. Admittedly, it was a big and expensive job, but the company threw everything at it and incredibly, the whole project only took 3.5 days. The team worked very hard, were polite and respectful throughout, and didn't create too much mess (a slight mark must be deducted because their final clean-up was not brilliant). When they hit a problem when fitting an awkward window, one of the company directors turned up and spent over two unscheduled hours on site helping the team to find a solution.

We of course do not yet know about the quality of the new windows - will they stand up to the weather at our rather exposed location? - but they certainly appear to be of a high standard. We are also delighted with their appearance (we were replacing timber windows with PVC) but the new ones look good externally and have wooden facings inside to avoid a 'plasticky' look.

Was anything less than perfect? Yes - the final clean-up as mentioned above, and also, for some unknown reason, two of the windows were sealed internally with silicone when we had specifically asked for that not to be done, because silcone can't be overpainted. So I had to buy special shellac paint to allow me to overpaint - Fife Windows and Doors owes me £25!

But these were minor problems, and we thoroughly recommend this company. If you are looking for a straight-talking, honest job of work to be carried out, at a price which will not be the cheapest but more importantly will provide value for money, then you should ask Fife Doors and Windows to quote for you.
