This company was recommended to me and I am glad I went with them. They did a fantastic job of installing my new gas boiler in a new position as well as dismantling old one. All parts of old system were removed. It took 2 days where all engineers worked very hard. I was very impressed with their professionalism and work ethic. There was no loud blaring music, no shouting or bad language. They tidied up after themselves. I would definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Since moving in to my house I have used Scott Findlay on many occasions and, in my opinion, these are the best heating engineers in Edinburgh. The works performed include: installation of new hot water cylinder; annual boiler services; gas fire repair; system flush; replacing TRVs; heating system conversion. Every time a thorough, excellent job and all of the engineers I’ve met are friendly and knowledgeable.

Last year I arranged for a chemical flush and conversion of the heating system to a sealed system. This has made a big difference to the warmth downstairs in my home. Indeed one radiator in the living room, which had never worked since I moved in, is now blasting out the heat! The engineer, Simon, was excellent and the install was neat and tidy. He was happy to answer any questions and took time to explain the work which he had carried out.

Scott Findlay are my first choice for the annual boiler service and any heating works. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. I know that several of my neighbours have also used Scott Findlay and have all been very happy with the job.

Replacement boiler and installation of new gas pipe from meter to boiler- a complicated job and Scott Findlay came up with a cost and time effective solution which saved considerable internal disruption.
The team(both on site and office based) was without exception, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was fully explained beforehand and throughout the course of installation. Job was completed on schedule and all left extremely tidy.

The whole process of the new boiler installation went very smoothly, despite it being a large and complex setup involving more than 20 radiators. Our pipes were replaced with larger ones, and were inconspicuously lead to new locations. Our exterior stone walls were carefully patched with stone to conceal the large old vent and a neat hole cut nearby for the new one. All was done with the minimum of mess.
Cameron and his team did a great job of the installation, causing us as little fuss as possible, and all the other trades they brought in did a first-class job. There were a couple of radiators that malfunctioned the following day, but they sent a guy very quickly and sorted them out.
We were very delighted with the whole thing, including their honesty in reducing the bill when the plasterer was not needed. The Hive controller and app are excellent. It will be great to be able to control the heating remotely when we're on holiday in the winter.

We're planning the installation of a toilet on the ground floor, and you will certainly be in the frame when we come to tendering for the work.

Can’t recommend this company highly enough. From the moment they pop on their plastic shoe covers to enter the house, to the point they politely and cheerily wave goodbye, I am always delighted with their service. I’ve used this company for 20 years now, for various plumbing issues, and their engineers are some of the most professional tradesmen I’ve ever come across. Everything always fixed or explained in a clear and timely manner. Would never use any other Edinburgh plumbing firm but this one.

I’ve had lots of work carried out by them over the years, but today was sourcing a leak from my en-suite which had caused a crack in my downstairs utility room (sourced and fixed by them in under ten minutes) fixing my WC toilet seat and running water issue, and resealing a shower screen.

In and out within 30 minutes..

Scott Findlay wasn't the cheapest quote and we had to wait a while before the team were available, but it quickly became clear this was a case of ‘you get what you pay for’. It was a really thorough estimating process which considered every eventuality, and was clearly explained so there were no unexpected surprises or costs – our final bill and timings were exactly as estimated. I strongly suspect if we had gone with a cheaper quote, costs would have crept up once work was underway. Cameron, Kevin, David and Mark were all really nice guys that were respectful of our home, didn’t leave a mess, and managed to get our very (very!) old boiler system upgraded quickly with no overnight interruption to heating or hot water. We’re delighted with the new system and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Our boiler stopped working during the very cold weather in mid December and despite this busy time Claire Findlay arranged for an engineer to take a look within 48 hours. Unfortunately we needed a new boiler and the SF team were able to resource a like for like replacement boiler late on a Friday evening for fitting the following week. We were on holiday when the boiler was fitted but when we returned you could not tell anyone had been in the house and we now have a lovely new and more efficient (and silent) boiler - it was fantastic to return to a warm house! The service received from the very first contact through to the follow up after the boiler was fitted was efficient, courteous and very professional.
