Andrew was quick, thorough and professional. Explained the issue well and sorted out an electrical fault with our hob and ensured all electrics were safe for our cooker. Very reasonably priced and would recommend!

We had sockets moved along a wall - and had a great experience with Lumen. They came out the same day for a look at the work and to give a quote and were easy and flexible to book in for the work to be carried out. Craig attended to give the quote and also do that work and was friendly, professional and did a fantastic job. The work looks brilliant, even the part hidden in a cupboard looks smart and tidy. He clearly takes pride in his work.
We would not hesitate to recommend Lumen and we will be using their services again for any other electrical work we need.

Andrew attended to investigate an 'ongoing' problem with 'lack of hot water' at an elderly relative's property. Problem was traced, with a 'temporary electrical fix' made, to ensure hot water was available. Will be returning, in near future, to install the required items for a permanent fix.

We were getting our main circuit board replaced. From the first contact with the company right through to completion everything was easy & professional. Would highly recommend.

Extractor fitted in bathroom and installation of security light outside door. Andrew was very patient with my many emails regarding work to be carried out. Organised roofer and electrician to coincide with work being carried out. Rab the roofer arrived when he said, very polite and helpful, also very tidy. Connor and Jack, electrician were also very polite, tidied up as they went along, took away all the packaging, left the house spotless once finished. Very happy with work carried out cannot fault any of the guys, would highly recommend them for electrical jobs. Well done guys.

Andrew, did a number of different jobs of varying cost but the quality of his work was high on all. He turned up on time and was tidy and organised through all the jobs. I have recommended him to friends and family. I will also continue to use him for any other electrical jobs required.

Always very reliable, knowlegable and fairly priced . I have used Lumen for general maintenance, fuse board, heaters and stair lighting maintenance. Work is always carried out to a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Lumen for all aspects of electrical work.

Andrew has been out a couple of times - initially to assess light fixtures when we bought a property and then to install and repair various issues with lighting, inside and outside. He's polite, punctual and we are very happy with all the work he has done for us.

I have used Andrew's services a couple of times now and am always satisfied with his work. He's professional, kind and courteous, and most importantly, he does a great job. I have no hesitation recommending him to all in the Edinburgh area.

I was a bit wary about using an electician found online without having any feedback from family or friends but no-one i knew had used the services of an electrician recently so i was sort of between a rock and a hard place.

When i stumbled on Edinburgh Trusted Trader and saw the website had affiliations with Edinburgh City Council and Police Scotland, coupled with user feedback, i took a punt and contacted Andrew from Lumen-Electrical.

My first contact with Andrew was via email through his website and it did take a few days for him to reply but when he did he apologised and things moved swiftly from there.

I only needed a bathroom LED centre light fitted, because the light is also wired to an extractor fan the wiring colours left me clueless so i felt it best to use a professional electrician.

I needn't have worried, we arranged a date and time (11:30am) and Andrew arrived at exactly 11:30am... his work was exemplary, quick chat about what was required and he set about his work... laid a ground sheet which he later rolled up to take away any excess discarded material (clipped cable sheath etc).

What i thought would be a 2 minute job for him actually took almost 30 minutes, that wasn't his fault.
He had to enlarge the hole of the light fitting i'd previously bought in order to get all the wiring from the ceiling to the connectors in the light fitting, he also had to add extra length to the existing cabling to reach the light fitting connectors.

After he left i removed the light fitting cover to see exactly what took him so long and what i saw was almost a work of art...
(FYI, in the attached pic my camera isn't showing the cable colours well, the two connectors at the top of the pic were added by Andrew in order to wire the fitting.

I would without hesitation use and recommend Andrew again.

Lumen installed our Nest Hello doorbell for us after we had had the work turned down by other electricians.

They were friendly and helpful, arrived on time, the installation was very good and everything tidied up afterwards. They were also able to give assistance with adding the WiFi doorbell onto our home network.

We will definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Lumen carried out a number of jobs for us including removing and installing light fittings and mains sockets. They were very professional, personable and completed the work promptly.
