I had Andrew come and do a number of jobs for me.

Had a new hob fitted, new extractor, two lights changed and a new double plug fitted.
He was on time, very tidy, very clean, well presented and had good chat.
He also provided a light bulb and IKEA hanger when I didn't have the correct ones.
He was also really efficient and got the job done quickly.
Also came in on estimate

While initially asking for a quote for works, Andrew was able to complete the jobs, including purchasing some additional equipment, within a reasonable timescale. Just got on with it and explained what he was doing and why and then organised how things worked.

Fixed security lights, plus miscellaneous internal electrical 'snagging'. Excellent communication & professional job.

We used Lumen Electrical to perform some safety-changes in my mother-in-law's flat as she is now suffering from dementia.
The cooker and hob were cleverly isolated so that they could not be used and a security cover was installed over one of the double sockets.
Craig was excellent, efficient and very sensitive to the situation.
I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use Lumen again in the future.

Problem with spotlights in bedroom. Turned out only to be a simple issue with a dimmer switch however the job was dealt with very professionally from start to finish. Would highly recommend Lumen.

We had our fusebox upgraded and wiring organised, we also had lights fixtures changed and upgraded as well as new switches, sockets relocated and new sockets installed.

Standard of work was great, the workers were respectful, friendly and professional.

If I’m being picky my advise would be to improve their filling skills!

Otherwise, can’t fault them. Would definitely get them in again if we need anymore electrics done and would recommend to everyone!

I used this company as recommended by a member of our staff, they knew I had been looking for a good electrician locally to the area. As soon as I made contact with Lumen, they provided a quotation and carried out the work in a very professional manner. I received excellent feedback from our staff to say a really good job had been done.

We had three outside lights fitted. The whole process from enquiry to estimate to doing the work was quick and very customer focussed. Andrew discussed and recommended the options for positioning the lights, and the work was done promptly and carefully. There was a small glitch with switches but that was quickly resolved.

Old smoke alarm removed and new interlinked smoke alarms and heat alarm fitted. EICR carried out. A few other small queries looked at with a view to quoting for them. Prompt and helpful response to my initial enquiry.

Completed a number of jobs around my flat as part of renovation works including fitting new LED ceiling lights in hallway and bathroom; installing new induction hob, oven and chimney extractor hood; movement of sockets, rewiring and replacement of socket covers. Came back a number of times to complete the works. Very happy with the results.

During an emergency within our nursing home they were able to come out and assist within a short space of time. Would definitely use them again.

Exceptionally kind and prompt with the electrical work but spent +1hrs trying to fix something non electrical. If they had pointed it out to me I would have told them to leave it but instead I was stuck with quite an expensive bill for the extra time. Otherwise lovely lads.

We contracted Lumen electrical to change three lights in our flat. We supplied pictures and details of the jobs that needed carried and we agreed to an hourly rate. The electrician arrived on time, was polite and clearly willing to help. However, out of the three jobs he was only able to do one - a simple change of a ceiling light and two similar jobs could not be completed as the right equipment was not available at the time (a stairs ladder was needed for one of the lights and the other light was completely broken so needed to be ordered). Once the first light was changed in literally 10 minutes the rest of the time was spent troubleshooting, talking to the manager over the phone and then we were informed right equipment is not available and would need to come another time to complete the two additional jobs.We were quoted a price that covered 1.5 hours and indeed the electrician stayed 1.5 h in the flat. We have querried the invoice with the company and we were politely told that since the electrician spent 1.5 h hours in the flat we should pay for the whole time. They agreed to give a discount only if we were going ahead with carrying further work and replacing some things that are not broken, the additional quote being 8 times higher than the first one. My question is: if you go to the mechanic to have the car fixed, explain what needs replacing, leave it there for 1.5 hours and then take it back still broken will you be happy to pay the full price you were initially quoted for?
