Replaced old lights in the stairway of our flats with newer LED lights, service was great. Provided prompt & reasonable quote, turned up exactly on time and lights are exactly as described.

Fuse box changed and 2 new ceiling light fittings put up.

I had a new fuse box and wall sockets installed along with some old wiring/electric meter removed the first time I used Lumen. They did which a great job, I had them come back to install some ceiling lights and remove wall lights from my lounge. I have been completely satisfied with the work they have done. I received constant communication of who and when they’d arrive. The electrician arrived on time, kept me informed and left my house with no mess. I would highly recommend Lumen. They are well priced, professional, reliable and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Earth bonding of the gas meter was efficiently and neatly carried out. The work was promptly carried out and I was very impressed with the clean up afterwards. Would definitely use again the future and recommend.

I wanted some new drop pendant lighting in my kitchen and also need some new sockets in two different rooms. Me being utterly useless when it comes to anything DIY related, I needed a electrician who was reliable, patient but also got the look I was going for with the lighting and could talk me through it all. Andrew was just awesome; all of those qualities and just a genuinely nice professional guy. From the consultation to email communication to doing the actual jobs, he was faultless and I am really happy with the work. I'd highly recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to request his services again.

I contacted Lumen to change the fan in our bathroom. Andrew responded to my text within minutes and sent someone the next day. Conor arrived on time and finished the job very efficiently. He adhered to the COVID rules. I highly recommend Andrew and his team.

Lumen did a great job! They installed new mains powered smoke alarms, replaced the fuse box with a new one including surge protection, installed a new socket in the bedroom and new timers for my heating, and repaired several damaged fittings. They were very responsive by email when I was figuring out what work was needed. They turned up when they said they would, cleared up after themselves, and had no problem with observing social distancing and wearing masks while in my property. I highly recommend them.

Andrew was fantastic, very professional and friendly. He was able to quickly install a new consumer unit and fixed a number of outstanding issues. He also figured a clever way of fixing an old circuit without having to damage a newly laid floor, which I was very grateful for. Finally he left our flat tidier than when he arrived! Very happy indeed.

We have just used Lumen Electrical Services to replace all the lamps (5) in our communal stairwell. Nobody was initially available to take my telephone call and I had to leave a message on an answer machine. My call however was returned about an hour later ( I'd been promised a call back that day by the recorded message so was pleased to be contacted so soon). A visit was arranged for the same day and the job completed later in the afternoon.
I was very pleased with both the promptness and quality of the service and the reasonableness of the price. Andrew discussed with me a number of options for the stair lighting, for improvements and possible future work which might be needed. But he emphasised that no further work was needed in the immediate future and also that in our case a more expensive option of moving to LED lights which I had asked about was not necessary. Impressive service.

We had a LED ceiling pendant light whose cables needed shortened and dimmer switch installed. Lumen responded quickly to our request for a quote, arranged a date and time to do the work within a few days of this, arrived on time and were polite and professional. We are very satisfied customers who would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Really impressed with Andrew's professionalism and conduct. We asked him to perform an EICR for our property, and he did so efficiently and with an excellent demeanour. He was friendly and approachable while he worked, and his communication throughout the job and in arranging work was faultless. We even asked him to look over the work of another company after we were unhappy with it, and he was very happy to come out and assess this. One of the best tradesmen in Edinburgh I have had the pleasure of employing.

Our immersion heater had stopped working so we asked Andrew to come and have a look. He was able to come the next day and he quickly found the fault (which turned out to be quite minor). Very efficient service and great value for money. Would call Andrew again for any electrical work needed.

I contacted Andrew regarding a small repair and he got back in touch the same day and agreed to follow up the next day and make the repair. He was upfront about the cost and arrived at the time he’d suggested. Excellent re-wire provided by Lumen electrical. Andrew went out of his way to complete a rather difficult job in an old stone building. I've used electricians before who done jobs as 'homers' and have been disappointed by their workmanship. I'd highly recommend this company if you require a job done properly and safely to a high standard, at a very reasonable rate.

Communal stair left in darkness after stair lighting went out. Since Edinburgh City Council left all private house holders Literally in the dark when it came to stair lighting repairs we didn't know who to contact until I came across Lumen.
Andrew was in touch straight away and emailed an estimate, it was the most reasonable and within a few days the job was done.
Andrew was very pleasant, did the work to replace one unit and service the others within an hour, and tidied up.
