Andrew came along on a Saturday morning to fix a faulty stairwell light. He was helpful, cheerful and top to deal with. I’d happily use him again and I’d be sure he’d do a quality job.

The electricity cut out in part of the house and as it wasn't the usual tripped switches I needed an electrician to check it out. Lumen electricals responded quickly and made a same day appointment. The electrician arrived on time, was polite, pleasant and explained everything thoroughly whilst sorting out the problem and answering my questions. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again for any future electrical issues. Very happy with the service provided.

I contacted Andrew regarding an extractor fan replacement, unlike others contacted he charged a very reasonable fee for callout and didn't charge more to come and fit it. He also helpfully did the job outside normal hours as he lives nearby.

I had email confirmation of the date and time that the work was booked and who was going to do it, and a reminder a couple of days prior to the work being done. Lumen Electrical recently provided power to my shed, with a separate consumer box, light and mains sockets inside and outside the shed. Jordan from Lumen did the work to a very high standard and he was professional and polite through and through. Jordan quickly informed me of an issue with there being no spare RCD circuit for connecting to my main consumer box in the house. However he quickly provided a solution to the issue by rewiring an underused circuit, thereby freeing up an RCD, which he then upgraded in order to provide the correct maximum current going to the shed.

Lumen provided a very competitive quote for the works.

Andrew fixed our stairwell lighting. He was professional and courteous. He clearly explained the job well to all neighbours.

I am extremely happy with the service provided by Lumen Electrical Services Ltd. I contacted Lumen to install a new electric hob. To replace the existing hob, the worktop aperture had to be widened.

Andrew was very friendly and efficient. A quote for the work was given promptly and a work date arranged soon thereafter. On the day, he phoned in advance to let me know when he would arrive (which was handy as I could nip home from work to let him in) He arrived on time and carried out the work as quoted. Andrew cleaned up afterwards and kindly took away my old appliance.

If in the future I require any other electrical work to be carried out, Lumen will be my top choice. I'd happily recommend Andrew to friends and family.

We used Andrew to change our lighting. Andrew replied to my emails promptly and arranged to visit in order to provide me with an accurate estimate. He arrived on time and worked efficiently. His standard of workmanship was high and he made sure we were happy with positions of switches/ light fittings before going ahead. Andrew fixed the faulty lights on our stair. He came highly recommended and in every way he fulfilled the recommendation. The work was carried out very promptly and efficiently. Everything he did was explained honestly, with follow-up promised if needed, which added to the reassurance. The cost for the work done was also very reasonable. Andrew came out at short notice one Saturday to investigate a problem and advised that our kitchen hob needed to be replaced. We ordered a hob from Currys and asked them to install it. They did not do so, in part because the installer said the electrical cable was not the right size. We called Andrew and he came round within 20 minutes and he installed the hob for us. There was no problem with the cable! Would definitely recommend him to other householders.

Had a new induction hob installed. Everything from providing a quote to getting the job done was quick and efficient - they weren't fussy about it being a small job or not worth their time. Really happy and would definitely use them again
