Excellent work carried out for light fittings in kitchen. Andrew turned up when he said he would and was tidy, efficient and safe. More recently I asked Andrew to replace my smoke alarms with interlinked ones. Rather than accept the job and charge me, Alan suggested the alarms may already be interlinked and explained how I would check. This proved to be the case, saving me several hundred pounds - thanks to Andrew's knowledge and honesty.

Lumen electrical ltd was recommended to us. I have used them for various jobs over a year, and feel now is the time to let others know about my experience with them. They have not returned to any work that been carried out by them, and all been to a good and satisfactory standard. Communications been excellent, and we were even notified if there is a slight delay, due to traffic. Andrew attended to our recent jobs himself and i found him very knowledgable, professional, polite, and did that extra bit, to make sure the job is done correctly and to a high standard. I will use Lumen again.

I have used this firm twice recently and have nothing but praise for them. From the initial call when a polite and friendly person answered all my questions to making a time for an appointment. Craig arrived on time and resurrected all the lamps that weren't working plus temporarily getting some of the bathroom lights working. He returned a few weeks later to put in new fittings in the bathroom. I am an older person with limited eye sight and it has been wonderful to find a firm who are personable and do what they say they are going to do in good time. Thank you Alan, Andrew and Craig! Extremely happy with Andrew at Lumen and the work completed. Contacted him on a Wednesday evening by email, prompt responses back and was round the next morning to diagnose and replace a central heating/hot water timer which had failed.

I contacted Andrew via the Trusted Trader website to find out what would be involved in rewiring my old house, and I was impressed when he called me within hours to discuss my inquiry. When he came to assess the job, he gained my trust with his clear explanation of what would be involved, and the total absence of 'hard sell'. Andrew returned to do some small jobs speedily and neatly. He kept in touch throughout, and his charges are very reasonable. A very nice chap, and I have no hesitation in recommending Lumen Electrical Services.

Needed to sort out the electric underfloor heating. The guys understood via email that the problem could have been with the thermostat and fixed the problem. The engineer that came over, Craig, was kind and professional and stayed also a bit longer to make sure everything was working fine. Thanks!

I suppose it is fairly easy to get my business- you just have to call back and be punctual - which seemed to be no issue for Andrew !

Unfortunately my simple job was not so simple and required further work from another tradesman but Andrew was utterly helpful in early identification of the issue and in helping me get what I needed.

I had Andrew round to do a handful of small electrical jobs and to complete an electrical installation condition report. Andrew was polite and professional when conducting the work and spot on with his timekeeping. He was good enough to answer all my questions regarding the work undertaken. The job was finished to a high standard and I have already recommended him to a friend for electrical works to their flat.

We have used Lumen twice over the past year and received excellent service on both occasions. Andrew was professional, helpful, on time and great value, and his communication was swift and helpful. We felt full confidence in his work, especially after a less-than-good experience with a different electrician. He listened to what we wanted, gave helpful advice and did the job well.

We first used Andrew to do some general small jobs in our flat (fit a light, cap off an old plug and repair our communal landing light) and then again when our communal tenement stair lights completely failed. Andrew had advised on his first visit while repairing our landing light that the stair lighting system was extremely old and would likely fail at some point. He was proved right just a few months later and I had no hesitation in recommending him to the rest of the tenement tenants to do the work of a full rewire, replacement lights and timing system. The quote was reasonable and the work was completed on time without mess or fuss. The lights now work better than before, with the added advantage of having guaranteed emergency lighting in the event of a power cut, which we did not have before. Andrew recommended these type of lights and it provides peace of mind for the future. I will certainly use Andrew's services again and recommend him without hesitation.

Lumen installed some new electric heaters for me, replaced my old fuse box with a new one, and put in some extra electrical sockets. I'm very happy with the quality of the work, and it was all completed well within the quoted time.

Andrew and Craig were both polite and friendly, and they seemed happy to take the time to answer my questions and teach me, for which I am grateful. They tidied up well at the end of the day too.

I picked Lumen for the work partially on the strength of Andrew's communication, both while on site quoting and via email. The standard of communication remained strong - he was always super responsive by email, and again seemed happy to answer questions I had before finalising the quote.

This is by far the best electrical company we have used in our 22 years of trading. Their work is excellent and tidy and we were kept in the loop 100%. The electrician turned up on time and was very professional. We will only ever use this company in future, they have the eye for detail in customer service where so many other companies are a mile off the mark. A well known retailer refused to install my cooker. Andrew tested my earth loopback and confirmed that it was fine. He then installed the cooker. Very quick and tidy work.

We would unreservedly recommend Andrew of Lumen, who has assisted with jobs requiring sensitivity to a listed house and adaptability to demands such as our requiring light in a suddenly pitch dark kitchen before a family visit .
