Iain and his two apprentices worked on re-plastering and decorating my kitchen walls and ceilings for a one-week period. The walls were in a terrible state and needed a lot of work to prepare the surfaces before papering and painting. The three of them worked quickly and professionally and I was really impressed with the quality of craftsmanship.

I felt that I got excellent value for money, and I've already recommended Iain to my father who needed some decorating done. I will definitely be calling on Iain the next time I need some decorating done in my house.

Really happy with the service offered by IE Decor. Work was completed to a very high standard and the attention to detail was particularly impressive. The job took a little longer than initially suggested, however this was due to Ian and Brian insisting on doing a thorough job with some areas requiring more preparation than initially appeared before painting.

Would not hesitate to use IE Decor again and would recommend their services to anyone.

Iain and Brian painted our kitchen and dining room and re-plastered our living room ceiling, completely stripped relined and painted the room and transformed our downstairs. We asked Iain to do our outside paintwork after seeing him working at a neighbours house. He is very careful in preparing the wood and metal and protecting the surroundings. The paintwork is first class, workmanship and materials. We will definitely ask him to quote for future projects and recommend him to everyone.

I recently employed IE Decor to redecorate three rooms. This involved stripping & re-papering walls and ceilings, and painting woodwork. Iain & Brian did an amazing job stripping & painting the walls and ceilings in both my living room & hallway in my tenement flat, as well as all the woodwork & cornicing. Very impressed with work performed. Transformed appearance of my kitchen ceiling and walls which had become discoloured and stained by water damage from property upstairs and generally required the kiss of life. Attention to detail excellent, edges around worktops and wall sockets very neat. Both Iain and Brian friendly, approachable, and determined to complete work to high standard. Ensured property was tidy before departing. Ticked all the boxes for me and would have no hesitation contacting IE Decor again in future.

We had Iain in for two weeks to paint a complete floor of our house which comprised of two bedrooms one bathroom and shower, hall, and attic space. There was a huge amount of prep to be done on the woodwork and the wood floors were being painted as well as all the walls. Our place is an old Georgian house in Edinburgh that we’ve recently renovated. Basically we’ve been doing the decoration bit by bit, and we got Iain in to do a big chunk of it. Iain’s quality of work is exceptional, we’ve had quite a few different decorators in over the last two years for different parts, while their work was good we continued to look for better, and Iain is now our go to guy. I think especially on woodwork he is probably the best we’ve seen. He has a very thorough technique for the woodwork, so the doors, skirtings and windows look really good, they look brand new. Very clean finish on the walls as well. He has a great understanding of the different paints, as we needed water proof options for the bathroom, different finishes for the floors and so on, he could suggest the appropriate paint for each. Very happy with his work, in fact we’re getting him back to do a few more rooms for us. Only downside of Iain, which should be expected, is that he is really busy, so you might have to wait to get him, but it’s worth the wait. He’s been good and trying to find us slots, but I guess good people are usually quite busy. You might get lucky. He’s a nice guy and good communicator as well, so you know what’s going on all the time. Would highly recommend.

Iain and his colleague Brian did a brilliant job preparing and painting the walls and ceiling of my lounge. The walls were bumpy and full of hairline cracks but the finish now looks flawless. Iain was great in terms of communication and when a problem arose due to some existing plasterwork they put in the extra effort to remedy the problem and complete the job without charging extra for their work.
