Iain stripped, prepared and painted our dining room and living room walls and removed artex and wood chip ceilings. His work is to a flawless standard. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of work and his overall professionalism. He is friendly and courteous and left the completed job clean and tidy.

I used Iain for a stripping, replastering and repainting of my living room. The quote came in at about 10% higher than the 2 others I received but I was impressed with the photos of previous work. The quote was itemised which helped understand the cost of each individual aspect.

Communicating with Iain was easy, we agreed an initial day, him and his apprentice turned up early in the morning and I left him the keys and went to work. At the end of each day the furniture was put back into place, the room was hoovered and aired out, and all the equipment tucked away in the corner.

There was some issues with the quality of the wall underneath the old wallpaper. Iain called and communicated the issues around these, he talked through some of the options around this, and was clear about the potential delay it would cause. There was also some delays caused by having to do additional coats of paint in certain areas of the room. Although the work came in at around 3 days longer than originally planned, this delay was communicated, and Iain worked on the weekends to ensure it would not be too much longer than planned. Despite this the final price was still as per the original quote.

There may be cheaper plasterers out there but it is clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I would definitely use his services again and would recommend him to people.

Iain and his apprentice were punctual, polite, very tidy and hard working. Iain takes a great deal of pride in his work and he shows a great deal of care and attention to detail. Would recommend without hesitation.

Iain and Mikey were both absolute professionals & very friendly & trustworthy. Iain works to a very high standard & he not only cares about meeting that standard himself but ensuring that Mikey is also trained to meet these standards. They had some very difficult working conditions due to the quality of the paper they were working with (our choice of paper was not good unfortunately) however they worked on regardless to ensure the paper was hung in the best way possible. We would be more than happy to recommend them in fact my mum & dad have already asked if they travel out as far as their town. Will certainly use them again.

Iain repaired and painted the ceilings and cornicing in our tenement flat, at a very reasonable price. He and his apprentice Mikey were both reliable and conscientious workers, they arrived when they said they would and worked hard throughout the day. We also found them to be friendly and genuinely nice people. Iain clearly cares about the standard of his work and in our flat he put a lot of effort into the preparation to ensure a high quality finish. We would be very happy to recommend Iain. As a side note - his phone was recently stolen so if you have had trouble reaching him lately, give him another try.

Iain stated he would strip the wallpaper, skim and sand the walls, then paint and wallpaper. The work was carried out to a very high standard. Iain was punctual and very tidy. He cleaned up each day.
