We have used Hero Locksmiths on a number if occasions to change locks, cut keys, or fix broken locks. Richard always provides a truly stellar service and is extremely friendly and reliable, and his prices are very competitive and fair. We can recommend Hero Locksmiths without any hesitation.

Tried another well known supplier who responded initially but after 4 weeks and several phone calls later I gave up on them and contacted Richard.

Back door lock u/s. He was at my house within the hour, renewed the gearbox, worked fine for a couple of weeks then seized again. Phoned him and he was at my house in half an hour, thought new gear box was faulty but on stripping out found ok. Could not explain what went, he renewed the lock etc. He charged me nothing for new lock and call out. He was a very pleasant nice man, Old School. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to my friends and family. There's still honest people out there.

My French Door was out of alignment and we had trouble locking the door so I phoned Hero Locksmiths based on the reviews I had read and I can say I wasn’t disappointed. I explained over the phone what the problem was and Richard gave me a price which I felt was very reasonable and arranged to come the next day he phoned a couple of hours later and arranged to come the same day. He was polite and friendly and very respectful to my property and fixed everything that needed done fast and efficiently. I would definitely make Richard my first call in the future for any other work I need done and would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends. It’s nice to know there is still reliable, honest tradesmen out there.

In my experience, people only review the service they have received, off of their own backs, if the service is either above average or really bad and they want people to know or to warn others. I am thankfully in the first group.

Having found this locksmith's (Richard's) number on google, because my door was not closing from the outside, I asked for a fix if possible or a new lock if that was not possible.

I would have had to go with what I was told as I do not have a clue about locks so when he came and told me he could fix it and fix it for under £100, I was delighted. Hence this review.

Hero Locksmith by name & nature. Unlucky for me I have a flat with dodgy locks and had to call Richard out twice in five months. On both occasions he was super quick to reply and respond. I particularly like how he tried to diagnose the problem over the phone (e.g. Are you using a poorly cut copy of the master key? Have you tried the master key and does it work better? Which would save me the expense of changing a lock). An all round honest, nice guy that gets the job done. Couldn’t ask for more.

very promptly, quickly found my issue, and repaired my door.

Richard came within about an hour to fix my door when the gearbox completely broke and it wouldn’t open or close. A tradesperson I had out earlier in the week essentially broke it!!
