East West Electrical

Spoke to Paul beginning of April 2021. First date available Friday 30th. Turned up on time rechecking what was required a couple of days before. Did two of the easy jobs and said he needed to take advice on a fan issue in the kitchen. Phoned him two weeks later. He said he had not had a reply from his contact. Thereafter I have heard nothing. If you want the easy jobs done he’s your man. This is now 9th June.

Summary: Overall I am happy with the rewiring work East West Electrical did, and found Paul to be friendly and helpful. I think that communication could have been better, and that more effort could have been made to ensure the property left in a reasonably tidy condition.

The price I was quoted was on par with other quotes I got. Ultimately I decided to go with these guys because they gave me the most confidence during their initial visit to my property. They took time to understand what it is I wanted and explained everything to me clearly. I would have given a higher rating had I received a bit more communication about the work itself, once we agreed to go ahead with it together. I was not told the date that work would begin, and turned up at my flat one day after work to find that it had - without me having had the opportunity to move my personal items first. This was a bit frustrating as my items were delicate. There were a number of days where I expected them to be in the property but no work took place, and it wasn't made clear to me why that was. Once work had finished, the hallway carpet (which had been pulled up to allow access) was not put back. It took me a while to find where the carpet had been put, eventually I found it on top of a wardrobe in a bedroom. Also, rubbish was left in the flat for me to remove, which was unexpected as other tradesmen I have worked with have taken rubbish out with them.

That being said, when I wanted something amended, it was done with no hesitation. They were also very willing to put in extra effort to ensure my kitchen floor wasn't damaged, which I am grateful for. I am happy with the quality of the electrical work and trust they did a good job despite my complaints.

Paul installed new linked smoke alarm detectors ( according to new rules and regulations which come into force in February 2022.) He explained what was needed on the phone, in regards to our house, and gave me the appropriate cost too. This is the third time that Paul has done work for us and I have no hesitation in recommending him for all types of electrical work. Indeed I have a job in mind for early next year! He is extremely reliable and very personable but over and above that - very trustworthy.

We had a new electrical supply put in for a garden cabin/office. We were delighted with the service Paul offered us and the job was completed as per our agreed time frame. The completed work was of a very high standard and we will definatly use East West Electrical again.

Paul was great at communicating and gave me a 2 hour window for when he would be there to for the smoke alarms and turned up exactly when he said he would which I really appreciated

Replacing bathroom spot lights with LED fire rated fittings & replacing garden flood light with LED security light.
Paul kept us informed as to arrival time. Always polite and honest as to work required with no 'surprises'.

Job was to run armoured cabling from mains board in house, under house and through garden to provide power to garden room. Paul came round and sized the job and worked through how best to do it with me. Quote was reasonable. East West did a professional job on the day and i am happy with it.
