Our work was completed in July last year (2020) and we are still happy with the results! Our kitchen (which was ordered from Wren) was due to be fitted earlier in the year, but owing to the pandemic had to be rearranged. Darren was very accommodating considering how busy he was.

When completing the work, Darren was good to maintain a very tidy space and was very considerate of the fact we were working from home. He was also able to offer his professional opinion on any decisions we were struggling with. The work took a week start to finish and in this time he coordinated other trades for the project as well.

When an issue did arise, Darren was very quick to rectify this (even though it transpired it was a result of previous, unrelated work that had been done).

We were very happy with the service and the finish. Would use again, and would recommend.

Plumbers had cut a hole in my bathroom floor to investigate a leak, which I was left to get repaired. It is a small room, but floor needed repaired and re-laid with vinyl. After having a number of problems with previous trades I was quite anxious about getting someone else in. However, I am very happy with the work and relieved to get issue sorted. Darren was very helpful, getting a couple of finishes for me to choose from, and left everything very tidy. Would recommend.

I had my bathroom renovated and I also got new internal doors put in throughout my flat. The renovation was completed to a high standard and I am very happy with the service provided! Will use DS Joinery again in future and would highly recommend.

Darren fitted my howdens kitchen and replaced some wardrobe doors. He was very professional and kept me informed throughout the process. Kitchen has been finished to a very high standard. Darren's subcontractors (electrician, gas engineer) have also been great! Highly recommend :)

Darren renovated our wee kitchen this summer. He and his team were really attentive to what we asked for and went the extra mile to refit some new worktops after the supplier provided the wrong ones. He was also happy to sort out some other niggly bits of joinery around the flat that had been bothering us, which he did to a good standard. We're really happy with the quality of the work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Having had Darren do our kitchen a couple of years ago, we were keen to have him complete our bathroom as well. As we expected, the work was completed to a high standard, in a timely manner, and with minimal disruption. We were really unsure of what to go for, and Darren was able to make suggestions and present us with the different options that we had.

Very good service when fitting my kitchen. Darren was very thorough, precise and always kept me updated or checked how I wanted certain things to be finished. He also helped me with a couple of other items throughout the flat and provided sage advice for some DIY projects I would undertake in future.

I’ve been doing a complete renovation of my flat and hence have had dealt with a lot of different tradesmen with varying degrees of satisfaction. Darren has definitely been among the best and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and will definitely be using him in future.

Darren helped us out with a small tricky job of switching over an integrated fridge/freezer. It was made tricky as they no longer make appliances the size of our doors and the only one we could find that was close required the door fittings to be changed to hinges and a shelf to raise the height to accommodate the door split. He hade quick work of it and the job was done to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend. Very fair price too.

Had the misfortune to have three burst pipes in the attic a week before Christmas. I called Darren through Trusted Trader along with another joiner's number who never got back to me. Darren came out straight away, surveyed the damage and booked the work in for early January. Very reliable workman and would recommend to others.

We booked Darren for our bathroom work after searching for the right trader for a long time. First off Darren's quote was very fair and second of all, he was responsive, answered all our questions and came quickly to assess the job (redoing main bathroom and converting a small box room into a shower room).

Getting a date for the job felt a bit long from agreement (almost 3 months) as Darren is in demand but once start date was confirmed, everything went smoothly. Darren did a lot of work himself, leaving things tidy each day. He also has a reliable network of traders (electrician, tiler, plasterer, plumber) who were all very professional and friendly. We ordered tiles and furniture ourselves but Darren picked up missing pieces with his trade account. He was also flexible when we changed our mind, giving good advice (for example getting a new bath instead of keeping the old one to keep with the room's updated design).

Finally Darren was also very kind to do a few fixes around the house. Would definitely recommend and will book again with no hesitation in the future.

We needed a large bathroom repair done after a leak had caused damage. Darren was helpful and professional throughout the process, providing advice and completing the job to a great standard. He was easy to communicate with, and communicated well with our tenant too.

Darren came to my rescue when the bathroom floor in my less than 10-year old flat disintegrated. He visited to scale the job and provide an estimate at short notice, classified the situation as dangerous and fitted in the work within weeks although he is in very high demand.

He not only carried out the essential work but also improved the floor and flooring to prevent similar issues in the future, which I very much appreciate.
