Our combi boiler was losing pressure, another company recommended replacement of parts at a cost of over £500, which I was dubious of.

John at Citywide Gas Services took the time to properly assess the issue and identified a small problem with one tiny part needing replaced. Whilst looking at the boiler issue, I enquired about a replacement shower and Hive Heating system, which John fitted on a return visit.

John left all areas worked in clean and tidy, and tested everything thoroughly before leaving.

Very happy with the work John did for us and will certainly use Citywide Gas Services for any future work we need.

Competent and Honest traders are increasingly rare. John at Citywide Gas has been servicing our boiler for years, and is our preferred contractor. Fast and honest, he always tries to resolve the boiler problem *such as a drop in pressure by pressing a button, if this resolves the issue. He also instructs us on how we can press the button ourselves, instead of calling him and before suggesting a new boiler is installed as most others 'boiler engineers' try to do. Thank you John.

Can't fault John and his work. He provided with a quote, showed up on time, was respectful towards the property plus had some good banter.

When I tried to find an emergency plumber to fix a water leak at the weekend John was the only one who said he could come. He arrived early Sunday morning and completed the job. Friendly, professional and fairly priced service - I'd happily use him again

I phoned Citywide Gas Services last week at 9:30pm as we had a leak coming from our toilet (which was being renovated by a different company).
Johnny answered straight away (despite being on a day off) and offered to FaceTime with me so that I could show him the problem.
Johnny offered free advice and reassurance, which meant that we could go to bed without worrying that the leak might get worse.
It’s not often that you find people like this who genuinely want to help and it was very much appreciated.
We will definitely use Citywide Gas Services in the future.

Back in 2020, when renovating ex-HMO for us, John and his team has piped and installed 9 radiators, installed new combi boiler together with new drainage. Installed new 1 toilet and fixed faulty 2nd one (and probably some more work I don't remember).
Since then he has been faultless in supporting us with every perceived issue (e.g. I have mismanaged valves on the boiler when going on holiday causing boiler to lose pressure - he managed to figure out issue and address it over a phone)
Everything he has worked on has been fault-free (2025)
This year was the first time he took any money for servicing the boiler - which still looks as good as new.
To top it all up he also has a great personality. It was a pleasure to work with him.
