Excellent service by Mark, he came out and investigated my roof issues when he said he would, clearly explained what tge issues were and managed to get the work done within the next week. Thoroughly recommended!

We found a leak in the conservatory roof just days after getting the keys to our new home. Mark provided a prompt response and a quote within days. Although our job had to be rescheduled due to all the bad weather we've been having, his team was great when it came down to it. They addressed the leak and cleaned the gutters, went around the rest of the roof patching up anything that could pose potential issues for us and took the time to talk us through the work that had been done. The work carries a 2-year guarantee but fingers crossed it won't be needed. Friendly, professional and efficient - would highly recommend.

Mark and his team removed and rebuilt chimney stack and also rendered around the bottom of the house.

I had a leak in my roof which was coming from the watergate. Mitch identified the problem area and came back to repair it the next day. I was sent photos of the before and after which was very helpful to see for myself the work that was carried out. The repair was completed quickly and efficiently and with no mess.

We had a persistent leak coming into the bedroom which another company had failed to trace. Mark was immediately able to pinpoint the problem and two of his team - Mitch and Michael - worked steadily to make the necessary repair. They also replaced a few missing slates and cleaned out the guttering. On Mark's recommendation we agreed, instead of painting the wood on the dormer, to apply pvc, so improving the look. We found Mark and his team to be reliable workmen who turned up when they said they would. All were pleasant and we were happy with the standard of workmanship. Would certainly use them again.

Quick and efficient re-pointing job on our coping stones along with a few other minor repairs. Picked up some problems that others had missed. Friendly and professional.

We had a dry verge installed on gable end of our house. Mark responded promptly to our initial enquiry and provided a quote within a couple of days. Replacement of leaking water gates, render chimneys and fix guttering on A-listed building (Monkton House, Old Craighall). All leaks fixed and squeezed us in at fairly short notice by working bank holiday weekend (much appreciated and it allowed us to progress our renovation project). The whole team were very professional and helpful throughout and I'd definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.

Mark and team were excellent. They sorted a roof issue which was causing rain water to leak through the kitchen ceiling light. There were heavy rains soon after the roof was repaired, but no further leaks. I've since recommended the company to other family members.

Came home from holiday to a leaky roof in our sun room due the recent Heavy rain. Mark and his team came the next day to assess the damage and arranged to do the repairs on the Saturday that week. We took to opportunity to get the guttering and weather boards replaced at the same time. The guys came as promised early Saturday morning. They were a couple of characters and worked hard to get the job done. Both really nice guys and left the place neat and tidy. What a difference to the outside appearance of the sun room. We had a really heavy thunderstorm that night. No leaks so money well spent.

Mark and his team repaired damaged render on a garden wall and filled cracks in exterior render on the property wall. The work was costed as in the estimate (which covered everything including materials), completed on time, and left tidy. Mark and his team gave us an informative breakdown of all the work needed to address the problem and prevent it recurring. As others have mentioned in their reviews the quote was not the lowest but it was the most detailed and comprehensive that we received. The team kept us informed at every stage of what they were doing and what to expect. We’re very pleased with the quality of the work.

This was my first experience with Musselburgh Slaters, I contacted them to see if someone could come out to have a look at my guttering which was leaking badly due to the heavy snow fall, Mark and his team arrived the next morning gave me a quote for the repair which I was more than happy with and proceeded to do the repair there and then, they did a fantastic job and nothing was any bother to them, A great team and a very professional company which I would highly recommend to anyone in the future.

I have just had my whole roof replaced, to be honest I was a little apprehensive, being such a big job, but I have to say it was totally painless, Mark is a pleasure to work with, everything was just so very straight forward, but I also have to give a huge shout to his guys, Mitch, Darren and Charles who I have to say were great, they arrived early, cracked on and got the job done, very pleasant, after they had finished it they tidied everything up(it was like they were never there) I was delighted with the finished result, and would not hesitate to use them again
